Btw I find it hilarious that the high imperial language is spooks eastern slang that nobody could understand.
Did you notice Wax wears a mistcoat even though he's not a mistborn? I don't know why but it just hit me Lol
I'm definitely liking this more than Alloy of Law. Still not as awesome as the first trilogy but it's an improvement over the last book.

Chapter 10(view spoiler)
I also like this book more than the first. Still not as much as the original trilogy but all the same a lot better than the first.

Just starting now as I kind of lost today reading-wise, but I'll throw my thoughts in here as I read :)
Finished and (view spoiler)
I found it a lot better than the first book. 4 stars from me. It was a very good read and the ending... wow!!!
I still like the original Mistborn trilogy better, but this one as a whole turned out to be not bad at all either! I'll talk more about it when you are all done.

My thoughts exactly!
If you want to read the Bands of Mourning could you wait for 2 days for me so I can finish Lions of Al-Rassan? If not and you really want to get to it fast I'll double read. I like reading stuff with you:). It's real motivating and fun.
Yes I'd like to read it. Take your time with your book and just let me know when you're done. It's been nice reading with you too :) I joined the group so I could have someone to talk to about books and it's been great.
thanks for waiting. I'll let you know before I can start. Maybe by then the guys will also be done with this one and would like to join too. It's really great when you can talk about the books you read and it motivates you also to finish a book that much faster this way. :).
I won't be hopping straight into the next book after this, so don't worry about waiting around for me! I just want to spread out the series a bit.Only about a quarter way through, but I'm really enjoying it. I think Sanderson made a really good call by making this series less dense and more focused on a single, smaller plot. It's a weird situation because I feel that he can do this only after writing a longer series to really set up the world, and now he can reap the rewards by just having fun, semi-standalone stories which can take advantage of the world and mechanics already established.
As it is now, I'm enjoying this second batch of Mistborn books more than the first trilogy, but only because they can take advantage of what was established in the first trilogy. If that makes sense :p To put it another way; I'm much happier that Sanderson went for something almost 'pulpy' rather than right another longer, 'epic' series.
