Mei had managed to stray into the forest. She knew her way back, but curiosity pulled her further into the dense trees until she found a clearing. She stepped into it, boots shoes crunching a few branches under her feet and a sound in the bushed made her hand move to the hilt of her sword. Calming, she walked into the clearing and smiled at the bright sun and looked up at the blue sky. It was a lovely day and she was glad she came to the forest.

Aralin was taking a jog. He sighed. He'd forgotten how calming and peaceful it was in the forest. He smiled and slowed his pace, absentmindedly walking around the forest. He looked up at the sky, grinning up. He bumped into a girl by accident.

"Ow-" Aralin said, rubbing his waist. He looked down, realizing it was a girl. "Oh-my-gosh! I am so sorry!"

Mei was walking when she felt a body bump into her and she amost lost her balance. She rubbed her forehead and looked up at who had bumped her with a pout "No no, it was my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going" she replied in her usual cuteish tone. She was sure she had a bruise on her head, but she didn't complain.

Aralin flushed red. "No, my lady, it was my fault." He said, dipping into a small bow. "I'm Aralin." He grinned. "And you are...?" He asked, peering at her.

Mei looked at him bow in a weird fashion and nodded to herself. That must be how the European royalty bow. She smiled and bowed herself, left hand on top of the right infront of her and bowed lower than he did. It was a sign of respect "Mei, Fa Mei. Pleased to meet you" she grinned kindly.

"Nice to meet you too!" Aralin said. "Wait, I think I have something down my pants." He beamed, pulling out some plastic flowers from a pocket in his pants. He wanted Mei to lean in, so the flowers would squirt water in her face. He normally liked to start off with creating funny impressions on people.

Mei raises both eyebrows as he pulled something out if his pocket and presented them to her. Eyeing the flowers, she narrowed her eyes "They're fake" she said out aloud and leaned closer to flick the plastic petal a bit as if to test if her theory was correct.

Aralin pressed the stem of one of the flowers, and water squirted out at Mei's face. "Oops!" Aralin said, grinning from ear to ear. He bit his lip, trying not to laugh. Normally, most princesses got steaming mad and they'd lecture him on being mature.

The water startled her and she gasped a bit and froze, looking up at him with no reaction. And then she laughed. It was like a bell and she wiped the water from her eyes and used her sleeve to dry it "Nice one, you got me" she continued to laugh before giving him a mock glare "But I don't think you'll ever get that close again" she managed seriously before chuckling a bit to herself.

Aralin smiled, giggling. "I won't try this again." He promised. "So, what's your favourite place in this school?" He placed the flowers back in his pants pocket.

Mei smiled a bit at his laughing before smoothing her hair and bun as she looked around the clearing "My sister and I just arived from China, so for now here would be my favourite place" she replied before looking at Aralin's blue eyes closely "Where abouts are you from?"

"I'm from Miweth." Aralin said. He realised that Mei probably wouldn't know where Miweth was, and probably thought that he was speaking gibberish.

"It's a place in Europe." He explained, feeling strange that Mei was staring at his eyes.

She frowned a bit at the mention of a place she didn't know, but nodded as he explained further "Ah, I see. And you're a prince?" she asked, curious to see if he was royalty. She didn't break eye contact. That was just how she spoke to everyone. With full eye contact.

"Yes." He said, starting to feel awkward. He felt kind of weirded out by the fact that Mei was staring straight at his eyes. He shuffled his feet nervously. "I am a prince."

Mei realised that she was intimidating him and smiled before averting her eyes to her left. That was usually how people reacted. But she was fine with that "So then you know your way around?" she asked softly, looking around more "I must say, the trees here are different" she wondered out aloud.

"That is true..." Aralin smiled, looking around at the trees. "These trees do look different from where I am." Aralin looked at one of the trees, realising that the clearing did have something special about it, especially the trees.

Mei's eyes widened in wonder and she pointed "Oh my! Is that a dear?" she said in a soft voice, pointing it out among the bushes. This place didn't cease to amaze her. She smiled at the beautiful creature, careful not to scare it.

Aralin gasped quietly. "Wow." He whispered. This was the first deer he'd ever seen. His eyes widened and shimmered as he stared at the deer. "This is awesome!"

She looked at his expression, and his wonder made her smile. She'd seen deer before, but never one this close. She whistled and it perked its ears a bit, but didn't come closer. The animals at home came to her when she called, so she figured this dear didn't because it wasn't used to her yet.

Aralin stared at the deer in wonder. He'd never seen such a beautiful animal. He wished that he had such animals at his home. He looked back and Mei. He noticed that she had a cute smile and it made him flush pink.

Mei saw Aralin looking at her out of the corner of her eye and she turned her head and her cheeks dusted with a fresh pink as she saw him blush. Quickly turning away, went to say something when she let out a small and delicate 'acho'. It was a small sneeze, but was enough to send the deer bounding away. She pouted "Aw, I didn't mean to scare you" she sighed.

"Why don't we go catch it?" Aralin suggested, doing some jumping jacks. He bit his lip to hold back a giggle. Mei's sneezing was kind of cute.

"I mean, we both want to see the deer again, right?" He asked, grabbing her hand.

"Huh?" she blinked in surprise at his suggestion. She played with the animals when they came near, but pursuing them had never been a thought. She looked at her hand in hers, up at him, and back at their hands before smiling and nodding "Okay" she replied softly, unsure as to how they were to go around the task.

"Great!" Aralin beamed, glad that she'd agreed. He gripped her hand tighter and started to run. "Come on! Deer can run fast." He turned to her. "But if we work together, we can run faster!"

"W-wait!" she stammered as he pulled her along for a while before she caught up, keeping easy pace next to him. She nodded and ran faster. She was a fast runner, that much was truth.

"Woah! You're fast!" Aralin exclaimed, trying to run faster. He looked around, trying to find the deer and tripped over a tree root "Woahhhh!" He shouted, trying to roll back to his feet.

Mei saw him trip and did her best to keep him from falling. A mistake because she wasn't strong at all and instead, he pulled her down with him.

"Whoops!" Aralin said, his face flushing red furiously. He couldn't believe he just dragged Mei down with him. He stood up, brushing the dirt off his clothes. He reached out a hand to help Mei up.

"Sorry." Aralin mumbled. "I didn't mean to do that..."

Mei looked at the sky for a while, after falling on her back and blinked when he offered her a hand "That's okay" she smiled and he was effortlessly able to pull her up due to her lightweight build "Mistakes happed" she chuckled and brushed herself of dirt.

Aralin smiled, glad that Mei was forgiving him. "So, wanna continue the deer search?"

She nodded eagerly before punching his shoulder softly "No running holding hands though" she teased and grinned "It was a recipe for disaster last time"

Aralin smirked. "Come on!" He took off. He liked the deer, and really wanted to see the deer again.

"Hey! Wait up!" she called after him and ran as fast as she could and caught up to him in no time. Mei always ran as if she wasn't even disturbing a blade of grass. She was swift and graceful and careful to be quiet, avoiding branches and dry grass.

"Wow! You're quick!" Aralin exclaimed. He turned back to face a log and leapt over it. "Phew." He said. He looked around, trying to find the majestic deer. His feet barely made contact with the ground, as if he was flying. Even though he wasn't that fast, he enjoyed the feel of being in the air and off the ground.

Mei slowed as they reached a densely forested area. It would be harder to spot the deer so they had to take their time looking. She slowed to a walk and then silently stopped as she saw the white flecked fur ahead and gestured for Aralin to slow down as well.

Aralin slowed down and ducked. "Wow." He whispered. He tried to be quiet, but the sounds of his panting were loud-ish.

Mei softly covered his mouth with her hand, only to muffle the sound "Look" she whispered in his ear and grinned as she looked at the sight in front of them. The majestic deer sat serenely in the grass and next to her, were two fawns. Their eye were closed and they softly breathed as their mother cleaned their coats gently. Her eyes warmed at seeing them.

Aralin's eyes widened. Wow He mouthed. He watched as the deer snuggled. "Awwwwwwww." He whispered, placing his hand on his heart.
