I reserved this at the library so will be reading it just as soon as it is available. It sounds good.
I've started it today and am greatly enjoying it so far. Two story lines, one told in first person, other told in third person, which I find makes the narrative strands easier to separate and get my head around.
I think I'll start off March with this one! I'm calling my March reads March Madness! As in, I've got sooo many great books on my TBR it's just Madness!

Wowza!! This was really great! Here's my review:

Here are some other thoughts.
I have listened to enough audio book narrators, movies, etc. to have a pretty firm grasp of the British, Scottish, UK accents. So when I read my books from UK authors I can usually 'hear' it as I go along and this was no exception. The wording definitely had quite a lot more words, terms, and slang within it then some others I've read which made it extra fun for me as I'm a sucker for different languages! Of course I had to look up a few things to solidify meanings, mostly initials, but it's not at all necessary since the gist is understood in context. So it took me a bit longer to read. For example ANPR = Automatic Number Plate Recognition, PNC = Police National Computer, and the like.
I found myself reading so fast by the end that I actually had to re-read some of the sentences!

Must confess Owl, that I, too, was stumped by some of the acronyms, like ANPR...
Because here in Australia we get a lot of British TV cop shows, I knew some of the common ones like PNC, but some of the others were definitely obscure. Great if you're a UK reader, but a bit confusing for readers beyond the British isles.
Read it last year. Couldn't put it down. Surprised by the shocking twists. Great read. Highly recommend.

That's really interesting, Mary.
If I wasn't such a curious owl, I wouldn't have been slowed down in the slightest!
I think the gist of the context is understandable even if you don't know what the initials stand for.
