My library had the ebook for this and it was available, so I'll be starting it very soon! Just have to finish up my current read first.
I'm about 40% in and so far it's ok. Cute concept, but it's not really grabbing me as much as I could hope.
I liked it enough to read the sequels (last year), but then, I sometimes like genre children's books.

I wonder if they'd developed each of the princes a bit more before bringing them together, if that would've changed anything.
I've actually stalled on this and haven't picked it up in the last week. I need to get back to it and finish it.And yeah, I think that may have helped? Everything feels kinda of shallow to me. Like the same characters and places over and over, but with slightly different generic twists to differentiate them. If that makes sense.
I'm stalled, too. I feel the same way yall do: Its much too shallow (so far) to really hold my attention. And the only opinion I have right now is I can see why these guys lost their girls. Much to boring for someone with spirit.
I finished this last night. It was cute, and I'll probably read the next in the series...But, for me, it ironically lacked a bit of charm...
Mary wrote: "One thing I disliked is that it's all the Pop Top 20 fairy tales but I'm peculiar like that."I agree with this, but I'm ok with it for a first book, to draw people in. Hopefully they'll expand into some other, less known tales for future books.
Well, to divert discussion lest this one get derailed, a topic on retelling of tales that AREN'T in the Pop Top 20:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I'm not sure this could get derailed, since there isn't actually much discussion going on anyway... But I commented over in the other thread. ^_^
I FINALLY finished this. That took me way too long.. Overall, I thought it was pretty boring. I don't think I'll be continuing in the series.

I didn't want to give up, but I wish I had. I wasted like a month on this thing! It just put me to sleep every time I started reading it in bed, and that was the only time I've had for reading lately.

I got this one out of the library, and definitely plan on reading it.
Mark all spoilers or lose your kingdom!
