Hello and thanks for joining. Feel free to introduce yourself here.

Let us know your favorite genres and if you are open to adding new friends on Goodreads. Please remember to set-up your profile on PAGE DROPPER's website so you can live chat with the members there. www.pagedropper.spruz.com Enjoy!

Authors, please DO NOT promote your books or the fact that you're an author here. If you're an author, just add (Author) after your name in your post. Thanks!

About me - I am a romance novel junkie. I don't care what genre as long as there is some sort of romantic relationship that develops involved. And ironically, I am also a huge fan of 1960s-70s science fiction because I grew up with my dad having a library filled of those types of books ;) I love to laugh and it's difficult to find a book that can make you LOL, so those are rare gems to me.

Hi Suzy, welcome and thanks for joining. Let me know if you have any questions about the chat site or any suggestions to make it more fun and user-friendly. Currently I'm a very pregnant, one-woman army, but I'll do my best to keep up on everything ;)

I'm Inis...I'm a self-published author, and my genre is adventure, historical-fiction and predominantly more young adult ,although I've actually had more 'older people' read my book (soon to be books plural) and enjoy it :) Anyway, that's me...thanks so much for inviting me! Hi Inis,
Welcome. Historical fiction is tough to write with all the research that goes into it, so kudos to you! I'll get more author folders/topics set up so you can check out to promote any of your stuff there later on. Thanks again for joining.

William | 8 comments William Schlichter. I am working turning writing into my real job, but I do enjoy teaching and the wealth of drama it provides as source material. And not just the drama on stage from all the theater I do. I write horror and sci-fi and have received some accolades for my screenwriting. I read mostly what I write, but I’m working off Time Magazine’s list of 100 books everyone should read as well as a few other lists of books to read. I do enjoy discussing writing with other writers. I need to do more social media to self-promote, but that cuts into my writing time. I seem to have withdraws when I’m not working on a story.

Hey all, I'm Stacy and I'm hoping to make enough time to be social here. So if I'm quiet at times you may want to count your blessings, because if you do get me talking, I rarely shut up. ;)

Ben Fleming | 1 comments Hi all, I'm Ben. Sorry, I've been locked in my house writing a 490 page epic fantasy - you know how it is. I like the silence. I might talk / comment, rarely, occasionally, when I'm not distracted by the multitude of distractions around me. It's interesting to read the comments!

Sara Daigle (saraldaigle) | 3 comments Hi all, I'm Sara (author). Thanks for inviting me to the group, Drea! It looks like it's got some great people on it. Looking forward to the conversation!

I'm a voracious reader. I'll read just about anything when I'm desperate, but I have a strong preference for fiction. I like the happier bent of romance stories, but anything with great characters and a well laid out story is fair game. Urban fantasy, fantasy, historical romance, all have made my top ten list at various points, and I write sci-fi romance novels, right in keeping with the theme. Strong characters and a well written story = my happy place, no matter what environment they are in or what is happening to them. Sorry, characters (my own included). Apparently, I like it when you guys go through the wringer. At least I prefer happy endings, though! ;)

Haha! Okay, you're right, horror isn't my thing. Although I have enjoyed Brian Lumley and of course, Stephen King, horror is not the first genre I reach for. Unless you know of one that manages to combine happy endings with horror? I've run into a few authors that skirt the edge over the years, but most of the time the happy ending takes it out of the horror genre and into the paranormal romance genre.

King's ending gone on, like the end of Return of the King. And you are correct horror and many thrillers are ruined with Disney endings.

Lisa Brick (lbrick363) | 2 comments Hi all,

I am NOT an author. =) Just an avid reader of ANYTHING I can get my hands on. I love my library, my kindle app, my apple books app, my nook app, my overdrive app, my audible...see the pattern here. There are just TOO many outlets for reading!!! I make myself crazy sometimes. I read multiple books at one time. For me I compare them to a television show (I do not own a television, just an FYI) where each book has episodes. I stop reading one at a certain point and pick up another. It keeps things interesting and I'm likely not to get too bored with a book.

Yeah, so that's me. Just a weirdo with no television and more books than she knows what to do with. I live in Texas and during the summer when it feels like molten lava is running the streets. I stay in and read a ton. I am so thankful for this site because had without it I would be reading the same books over again without realizing it (or buying multiple copies, which I've done before). Wow. What a rambler I am. Any who, nice to meet all of you!! =)
