The theme for May and June is... Sickness and Health!

Suggest shoujo manga in which illness, disabilities, wellness, or healing are important to the plot. It could be the main character is sick. Or maybe a family member or friend. Or maybe someone got hurt and is waiting to heal up. Maybe someone has a mental illness. These are all possibilities, and more!

Please keep your suggestions to things we haven't read in the past year, and limit your number of suggestions to five or less. :)

Suggestions:
Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu - Secret Unrequited Love (Volume 1) by Kotomi Aoki Full Moon o Sagashite, Vol. 1 by Arina Tanemura Forbidden Dance, Vol. 1 by Hinako Ashihara きょうのキラくん 1 Kyou no Kira-kun 1 (Kyou no Kira-kun, #1) by Rin Mikimoto Here is Greenwood, Vol. 1 by Yukie Nasu

We read that in November and December, so it's a bit too recent.

Any other suggestions? :)

Rose (raddevlin) | 7 comments Would you consider manga where sickness or mental illness becomes an important theme/plot point later on? For instance, mental health issues feature heavily late in the series in (view spoiler) but not in the first couple of volumes. Not that I'm suggesting that series since it looks like it was read last year, but you get the idea. :)

I'd accept it.

I'd also accept minor injuries, like if someone fell out of a tree rescuing the heroine's hat and that caused the two to meet.

Doesn't have to be anything major or life threatening. :-)

Calixte Walls I don't know if this was ever mentioned before, but I did happen to find a pretty good manga called "Bunny Drop." I have read about 9 of them and it's a pretty decent storyline so far

It's okay. Bunny Drop is a Seinen manga anyway. :-)

dav how about きょうのキラくん 1 Kyou no Kira-kun 1 (Kyou no Kira-kun, #1) by Rin Mikimoto
Also unTouchable by massstar - this is mainly about vampires, but the guy has ocd - does that count?

Samantha wickedshizuku Tolleson (wickedshizuku) | 25 comments Would a webtoon count?

If Baka-Updates says it's manga, I'd take it. Problem is, unTouchable is a Josei, so not in this case. :)

Mike | 389 comments Here is Greenwood, Vol. 1 by Yukie Nasu (main character enters new school late due to being hospitalized).
