Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Members are requested to nominate one book and second others' nomination. If we get too many nominations, seconded books and early nominations will be preferred. If your nomination wins, you will be expected to read the book and lead the discussion.
Nominate in following comments :)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Tried it last year, felt it was too academic. Didn't go beyond 20 pages.

He is an academic by profession. But his writings are good for others also. I haven't read this and so can't comment on the book, but I was lucky enough to attend one of his speeches and it was quite accessible and good.

Many people (really) in this group are RK Narayan fans, including Gorab and I.

Sir, the algorithm for BOTM is liks this:
-Members recommend few books (one book per member only)
-Top books (early nominations and seconded books) go to polls
-The poll winner book is chosen as BOTM and read & discussed by the group, as in now The Namesake :)

You gotta nominate a particular book.
So what's your nomination out of the books you listed above?

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi :) I second this nomination. I recently finished watching Star Plus Siya Ke Ram and it opened my eyes to many points of this epic. Of coz being a Sri Lankan, I loved the take on Ravana there. A friend also recommended this book.
