Laura and I will be starting this today if any one wants to join :)

I was waiting for this one! curious to see how it all ends up. And curious to see if my suspicion about Steris being more than she appears are true.

She definitely became more interesting in the last book

She became my favorite caracther by the end of this book. Followed closely by Wayne. :)

Chapter 10

(view spoiler)[There's so much going on in this book. There's the uncle and the sister, the kandra and the spike,the bandits that robbed the train and the strange metal cube AND the old nemesis of Wax that's showed up. Honestly I don't see how all of its going to be resolved in one book. (hide spoiler)]

ouch! i have a lot to catch up! only at Chapter 2 right now:) To my defence it was night here so i'll catch up today.
I like the book already and i'm really glad that Steris appears more here. I really don't know why i like her so much. Maybe i identify with her a little (organisation freak!), or maybe i just like underdogs in general!
(view spoiler)[I felt so sorry for her at the wedding! Poor girl must have felt real bad to try to get married with a guy that clenches his jaws and would obviously be any other place than there! And Wayne arranging for that thing to drop on the church! Come on! Kandra asking for help for God though?! Wonder where that will lead! (hide spoiler)]

Don't worry. I'll be going to bed soon and I'll probably start off reading Jurassic park tomorrow.

not worried. :). I want to finish this one today so I can start on the demon king in the weekend! I have some extra time to read today.

Chapter 17

(view spoiler)[the part where they were explaining to the lady innkeeper what could happen while they are there while MeLaan was talking about the state of her bones and Wax was moving the doors and breaking open the windows (in Chapter 10) I found that hilarious and was truly laughing then. i was asking myself the same question!

I'm at chapter 18 now and will try to finish the book tonight. I like it a lot so far. A lot better then the previous 2.

Chapter 18

(view spoiler)[I wonder if there's going to be a twist where the sisters not being held captive but wants to be there. It's kind of a cliche so I'd hope Sanderson wouldn't do that. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Holy cow!!! I'm so confused. So it wasn't the Lord Ruler that saved the southern people it was Kelsier??? How is that possible? TenSoon had his bones. Maybe Sazed brought him back but damn did he have to put a spike in his eye? And why didn't Kelsier tell the people who he really was?

I gave this one 4.5 stars just because of these loose ends. Too many for me! What about Kelsier and what about the sister and the uncle and the Set? It's the end of a trilogy for crying out loud - shouldn't there be a little more closure in the end?!

Laura, the era 2 will have 4 books, so there is still another book to be published. It will be called The Lost Metal. He plans to realease it in 2018.

Ok. I didn't know that. I thought the Lost Metal was connected somehow but not that this is a four book series. There's a very long time till 2018! I'll read the novella you recommended so I can clarify at least the mystery of Kelsier.

Laura, he is working on Oathbringer (3rd book of the Stormlight Archive). The book is scheduled to be released this fall.

His plan is to work on The Last Metal only after Oathbringer is ready.

There's supposed to be 10 books I believe

Hacen is correct, Stormlight Archive is scheduled to have 10 books. This will be (for me it is already) Sanderson's masterpiece.

Each book published so far has more 1000 pages. The scope of the plot and the world is impressive.

I read all Mistborn books in a binge read. I couldn't put them down and I didn't think Sanderson could get better than that. Until I started reading the Stormlight Archive ones. :)

I agree Miche. I loved the original mistborn trilogy but the Stormlight Archive has been amazing.
