Literary Horror discussion

Edmund Gordon has written a biography of Angela Carter entitled The Invention of Angela Carter: A Biography . It’s reviewed by Alison Lurie in The New York Review of Books; see here.

I just got my copy. Very excited.

Carter represents something of a blind spot in my reading resume. I’ve long been aware of her formidable reputation as a writer and as an influence on other writers, but I’ve only read a smattering of her short stories. Reading the above-mentioned review makes me realize that I should try and remedy this.

I love her work. I'll be starting her Wise Children very soon. First, though, the biography.
