Canavan | 377 comments Carter represents something of a blind spot in my reading resume. I’ve long been aware of her formidable reputation as a writer and as an influence on other writers, but I’ve only read a smattering of her short stories. Reading the above-mentioned review makes me realize that I should try and remedy this.

I love her work. I'll be starting her Wise Children very soon. First, though, the biography.
