I'm finished The Vision, so I'm going to start midnight a day early

I will most likely be reading Midnight Mid-April.

Almost 25% through this book cool story so far with a very x files feel i.e small town where people are starting to act strange

I'll probably join the group read this month. I have this book but haven't read it yet.

Dean's writing is similar to The X-Files & these books were written before The X-Files began airing. I have thought the creators of X-Files must have gotten some of their ideas from Dean's writing. Dean was always such a big fan of the show, mentioning X-Files in many of his 90's books. I wrote to Dean after I became a fan of FRINGE, I suggested he watch FRINGE but I wasn't able to convince him to watch it as far as I know :-)

I am so far behind! Haven't even begun this book. So far behind that I am wondering what next months' book will be. Now, that is sad. I remember really liking this one but don't have any idea what it was about.

I haven't started it yet either Mary. I will be soon. I don't like to read it and "get it over with" for the month. I hope by waiting to start it there will be more discussion mid month but I will be starting it the next day or two.

We have two group reads coming up in May:
Dark Rivers of the Heart & Sole Survivor.

Midnight is one of Deans creepiest books....I love it❣

I am enjoying it right now. I stopped to check my email. I know I read it before but have forgotten it so it is like the first time. Gotta love Koontz's dogs.

I've just finished part two, I think this book is Dean's best I've read.

I am 70% through the book and enjoying it. I am coming to like the sheriff, believe it or not. Part of this seems familiar but I don't know if it's because I've read it before and forgotten most of it or if I've seen this in other books, maybe even another Koontz book. As I am reading I am realizing just how much computers have advanced since this novel came out. I have to laugh at how all the Internet connections are through phone lines.

In am 1/2 thru the book, the theme shows Dr. Shaddock's Moonhawk Project to create "New People" to live for 100's of years. But "Regressives" murder his people & they must be killed or converted?

My understanding was that the regressives could not be converted.

Dustin, I remember too ... and a whopping $250 phone bill because of the way my daughter connected and left it connected to a toll number!

You are right. I try to re-read the featured book each month, but sometimes I put it off until it's too late :-) I'll get through it pretty quick with the help of audio.

I already see lots of similarities between Midnight and The Frankenstein Series.
