Kate Week 2 in March is the readalong for Reaper Man

I love the Death series so have high hopes for this one. Never read it before and I'm just about to dive in. Any one else reading it?

This book once again is another favourite of mine. I have also bought another copy in paperback and set free on bookcrossing.com
BCID: 976 - 141 493 01. My best part of the book is where Death becomes drunk in a bar, without actually drinking 'that's Discworld for you' Funny and brilliant.

Kate I've made a start on Reaper Man. Very funny so far. Not had too much of Death yet but he never fails to make me smile!

I'm also on bookcrossing, trying to be a more active member this year.

Caitlin Davies | 1 comments Read reaper man years ago as with all Discworld books especially those with Death in sublimely funny. Satiric and timeless. Because us of round world never learn.

Kate I've just finished it and loved every minute of it. Can't believe it took me so long to get around to it.
My favourite part has to be when Death goes shopping - outstanding!
I also never knew how the Death of Rats came about so now I know!

Jon (hammertone) | 4 comments Another one I'd not read for a few years. I enjoyed it very much, his usual warmth, compassion and humanity running alongside the humour. One advantage of being an older book lover is that a rereading can feel pretty fresh, because you have forgotten a lot of the plot details. (The downside of this being that I now have to log all the books I read, or I'm quite likely to inadvertently start a book I've read a few months before.)
