Thanks for starting this thread, Cameron! I was going to ask this same question, but was waiting to finish the book, heh. But, I still feel like I can answer now. :)I'll admit, I wasn't a huge fan at the beginning, but now that I'm further into the story I'm liking the narrator better. It's interesting to have the narrator defined. Not a lot of books do that.
I loved this book. Having the narrator be the grim reaper was ingenious and allows for quite a twist here and there. I also felt like even when the story could have dragged a bit, it didn't due to the rhetoric. I always like a book that has a unique writing style or uses extensive vocabulary. This is probably why I only read the first divergent and HATED it. Unfortunately it seems like good literature is quite the hard entity to come by and you have to swim through a lot of garbage to find one.Also let me point out that I was the one who recommended this to Cameron :)



I think what makes me love the book so much is not the story but the person telling it. I love his perspective, descriptions and use of words. What do you guys think?
