Martin Brown, illustrator of the Horrible Histories series, is almost always credited as Martin C. Brown and sometimes as Martin Brown.

I created a profile for him (see first link), and started separating the books in the series. But other editions don't seem to change when I change the default edition. There are 42 books in the series and most have 10-20 editions, so it's quite some work to do it all manually.

If there is an easy way to change the author of all the editions, do let me know. Otherwise, feel free to update any occurence of him you can find.

No there is not. If he was the actual primary author then yes, but since he is an illustrator and not primary then no, they have to be changed individually.

BTW, where did you pull the picture from that you attached to his profile?

When uploading the picture, it said pictures from a public domain were okay, and as this is their website I thought it was fine. I added the link as source as well, but I don't think it shows up.

Just because an author photo is on their website (or their publisher's etc.) does not make it public domain. For living (or recently deceased) authors, it is fairly uncommon for any of their photos to be in the public domain.

I've moved the illustrator (4-space) from the single-space Martin Brown profile. I'll probably take another whack at the Martin C. Brown later; I've done a few of those.
