So I wrote my first post on Medium recently and I must say it's fairly easy and fun to use. One thing I was able to do that I can't really do on my website is use images to emphasize my points. My website only allows a certain amount of media as it counts as storage so being able to post images after paragraphs really helps me bring my point home or draw attention to it. I also enjoy that I can edit it at any time and post it to almost any social media site with Twitter being the main place as that's where I'm most active. I'm hoping to use it more and it will help bring more following to my blog.
I've started writing more on Medium. It's a good way for my blog posts to get more attention and I can use images. My website doesn't have the best word count ratio and I'm only allowed so many images so Medium works great for me.
I've been blogging on Medium because some people prefer to read posts from there. Also I can post images better on there than my website. Its a great site to build blog followers.

My only caveat with using it is the fact that you don't control the platform. Your own website stays up (so long as you pay the bills and keep it secure!). Medium can choose to delete your posts for any reason, or none at all.
Perhaps a bit paranoid of me. But it's a concern.
Hope it works well for you!
