I can't stop thinking about this line from To Rise Again at a Decent Hour:

"Every night was a night of limitless possibility expired, of a life forfeited, of a foreclosed opportunity to expand, explore, risk, hope, and live." (p.43)

It's such a beautiful, haunting way of thinking about insomnia.
What are some of your favorite quotes from To Rise Again at a Decent Hour?

I like this one even though it's depressing:

"I had seen God, but God was gone."

It's pretty intense, but in one line it captures just how extreme the narrator's persepective swings.

I liked:

“I swore never to use the emoticon ever… until one day, offhandedly and without much thought, I used my first :) and, shortly thereafter, in spite of my initial resistance, :) became a regular staple of my daily correspondence”

This made me laugh and was relatable to my own emoticon usage :)
