Haunted Ground
question
Review #4

The most important scene in Erin Harts Haunted Ground was when the truth got revealed about the tragic deaths of Mina and Christopher Osborne. Jeremy was in the hospital because he got into a fire that was inside the tower. Jeremy finally built up the courage to tell the truth to the cops. He explained that he was up in the tower with his new hunting rifle that his mom bought for him, he heard a noise behind him and shot the gun. He thought the noise was the bird but it was actually Mina and Christopher walking back to their house. Jeremy said the bullet went into Mina's eye and there was blood everywhere. Jeremy went back inside and told him mom what happened. Lucy came outside and killed Christopher by suffocating him with her hands. Lucy said that she could not ruin the chances of them getting a house in England. They then proceeded by placing the dead bodies in Jeremy's underground passage. Jeremy had kept that secret for two years, that is why he has been so drunk and upset most the time. At the end of the book Jeremy was in danger because he wanted to kill himself. He was ready to kill himself in the fire when Cormac saved his life. Now that he confessed to the police, hopefully he can get the closure that he needs. Lucy is being charged with the murder of a Christopher Osborne, attempted murder of Hugh Osborne, and for concealing evidence in the death of Mina Osborne.
