I enjoyed this book. i found it very interesting. It kept me wanting to keep reading to see what was going to happen.
at first I thought Yummy was super street but as i kept reading I realized that he is just a normal kid
Did you guys sympathize with yummy at all or did you think what he did was wrong completely and should have known better?
To me the book had a good story to it i just wish it was maybe a little longer. It also seemed like the book was moving really fast.
this book has a really twisted plot, not even going to lie. the plot is also what kept me reading because I wanted to see if it could get more twisted.
yes the book could be longer but it was still very interesting to read and it made me want to keep reading.
I agree that it was a short book and could've been longer but I also like that it was a quick read and still said alot.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through and I think the book is very good at storytelling. It gets to the point but it also has added detail that helps tell you about who Yummy is/was (like the interview part).
I liked how quickly the story moved along. I think the fact that an 11 year old get caught up in gang stuff is kinda extreme but over all i like the story
What did you guys think about the art style of the various graphics in the book? I liked them especially the shading.
The art in the book was terrific it matched the story well. The illustrations in the book kept me looking at them and i made sure to look at all of them so I wouldn't miss any details.
The ending of this book took me completely by surprise though. I knew at some point that Yummy was gonna get caught and pay for what he did but i did not expect his gang to turn on him and just kill him like they did!
I think the book ended very suddenly and didn't really have a good aspect of falling action. It sorta just ended
i agree Andrew it was a fast ending with him just dying and was very bleak. Could have been better.
The whole point of the story is that it is an actual thing that happened, so the reason it isn't very action packed or suspenseful is because that's how the story actually ended. Yummy was a real kid and he was actually killed by his own gang. He actually was on the run from the police for a long time. All of this stuff actually happened to Yummy.
