Jude (judearmstrong) | 7 comments I really enjoyed this book, it has lots of adventure and I think that it would make a good read aloud. I'm pretty certain that it will appeal to both boys and girls. Be warned, it is a tear jerker.

Jayne Downes | 19 comments I also enjoyed the Honest Truth and thought it would be a good read aloud because of the content and short length chapters. A year 7 teacher tried reading it aloud last year but thought the story was too dark. I guess it is personal preference but I still like it and it had adventure as well as the illness theme.

Joanna | 14 comments I agree about The Honest Truth being a fabulous book. I had a Y7 teacher read it to a class of boys last year and it went down well. Yes, a wee bit of a dark topic but a good discussion starter.

Sarah | 1 comments I agree, I read it to my Yr6 girl at home last year and both shed tears. It was the first book she has cried over, and while she found it hard at times i think the strong emotions she felt kept her totally immersed in the book. Fabulous book.
