I just reached page 30! I really like it so far. The whole Unipedia section was kind of boring but necessary, and I LOVED Ezra's email to Kady!
I just made it to page 100! I really like it! How's everyone enjoying the book? Who's your favorite character?
I'm on page 50. I'm kind of struggling reading some sections of the book. And I feel slightly confused, but hoping I will get past that. I have enjoyed Ezra a lot though.

My favorite parts are for sure the emails/IMs. They're so easy to read through and I love the character focus! Parts of it are DEFINITELY confusing - there's a whole lot of science and technology that I don't really understand, but I'm just kinda trying to roll with it, haha! Ezra is by far my favorite character!

****Spoilers for anyone who hasn't read to at least page 50****Okay so question.
I'm confused because I thought that Ezra was a pilot for the Copernicus? Or was it like a side space ship that was trailing it? I'm so out of the loop I do not read sci-if AT ALL!

So honestly I'm confused too because sci-fi isn't really my jam typically, BUT here's what I think: the Copernicus is a smaller, side-ship that I think is used for evacuation or something as a part of the big ship, the Alexander! Because we know Kady's on the Hypatia, so it's obviously not a part of that. Ezra was piloting another small ship for the Alexander fleet, but I can't remember what his ship was called! That's what I think, at least? I don't know, haha!

***spoiler alert up to page 50***In response to Emily, Ezra is in the echo squad from ship Alexander. Osprey group appears to be a group from the Copernicus' ship. Copernicus looks like it is a transport ship for any materials (like ice, ore, fuel) and is basically just tagging along to help the Alexander get refugees to safety
I just read to page 200. I thought it was going to be hard to have good character development with the style they went with (with the IMing and the case reports and all that) but I think they are doing a great job of giving the characters emotions and personalities
I looove Ezra but Kady is a little annoying. She comes off so know-it-all and too cool for everything. I also really, really like the way the story is written. I'm such a sucker for reading these types of stories that are exchanged in IM since it gives the developments a different feel.
I feel like this is all I can say right now since I'm ahead of you all (I started the audiobook a few weeks before this read-along started lol!) and I don't want to accidentally throw out spoilers. *patiently waiting for everyone in the pages 401-600 section*
Y'ALL THIS BOOK! I'm so obsessed already. I just reached page 200 (204 technically), and I was DYING to talk about it! I love Ezra Mason so much! <3 He's so great and vulnerable and I love that. Kady is growing on me. Her last entry in her journal was clearly us breaking more into what she ACTUALLY feels. This is so good y'all!
The IMs are just so good. I love how raw they are. Books with IMs feel so real, ya know? Like, this is really how 17- and 18-year-olds would react.
I totally agree! The IMs are my favorite format in the whole book. I love realistic teenagers in sci-fi YA!
