Good choice! I'm not sure what I'll read yet.
I decided to go with books written by famous Missourians. I've always wanted to read
so I'm going to read that.Is Laura Ingalls considered a famous Missouiran? I read a brief biography of hers but couldn't figure out why she would be but she is on a list I found of famous Missouri authors. I want to read

I think later in her life she lived in Mansfield, MO.
Okay, I went to the library today and found a book to kick off this challenge with on Saturday. Remembering Walt: Favorite Memories of Walt DisneyI just watched Saving Mr. Banks, so this kind of caught my eye. Also I used to live in Marceline, Missouri, and they boast a house where he once lived.
Finished my first book today - a book about a famous Missourian,
. This was a good book and an easy read. I found out just how important his childhood in Marceline, Missouri was to him.
Gary wrote: "So, Lea, you suggest that I need to read this one?"Well, there are probably worse books to read. lol
Do you have in interest in Disney? There aren't any earth-shattering revelations in this book. I think I rated it 3 stars.
I thought there was another bio, that I had heard about that was suppose to be great, and I don't think it was this one. Yes, large interest. YOu see, Disney is from Missouri, and I am a Missourian , of course. I taught Missouri history for many years. I went to college in the Kansas City area, and he's well known up there, and I've been to Marceline, and I just love his movies......so yeah.....lol....I am gonna have to investigate that other book. Thanks!

That does look like a good one. I like reading biographies, but there are a lot of dull ones out there. lol
I finished my first book for this challenge.
I've never read the Little house books and thought it would be nice to give one a try. I think I might have enjoyed it as a kid.
