Torben Opperud | 11 comments So my former boss at an international bookstore in Bergen is now the executive at a Publishing house where they just opened a new import branch. The problem is that while she was the daily manager at the international bookstore, she left all responsibilities relating to English fantasy books to me. So the last year she has been emailing me for suggestions and now I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel.

So why not ask the, most likely, best people on this planet?
I'm targeting mainly fantasy, but supernatural YA and Sci-Fi is also welcome. Is there anything to be released soon, books just out in stores or maybe you read something thats worth mentioning?

Wayne Materi | 1 comments Well, I just published The Reality Thief (pen name: Paul Anlee) which has science-based fantastical elements in it. Here's the Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

For a limited time, I'm making free review copies available to Goodreaders at this Bookfunnel location, if you'd like to check it out: http://dl.bookfunnel.com/d8kgke6ce3

Hmm... hopefully, Whitney chimes in here on this thread, but I'll throw out NK Jemisin's third book in the Broken Earth trilogy, which comes out in August: The Stone Sky

This is sci-fi rather than fantasy, but English translations of The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death's End.

Jennifer | 33 comments I read and enjoyed this series Theft of Swords.

And my all time favorite, that I re-read is The Morgaine Saga

I'm not really on the bleeding edge of recently published or soon to be published works. The stuff I pick up usually has some buzz already. As Marc said, N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth, also Nnedi Okorafor's Binti and Daniel Older's Bone Street Rumba are all series that I'd highly recommend, but all of them are already out there dong well on their own, and could be found by checking the SF/Fantasy award nominations as well.

There are a few writers who I'm eagerly awaiting collections from, but those are all short story writers, and my taste doesn't usually indicate sales potential. I would suggest checking out the pages of publishers like Tor.com to see what's in the pipeline.
