Poetry Writing Contests discussion

This week the challenge is to write about a subject that bores you. It may not bore anyone else, but it has to at least bore you personally. Then, write a poem that puts a dramatic and unexpected twist on the subject and makes it exciting!

For example, if flower gardens bore me, I might write a poem about a flower garden that ends with it getting razed xP Have fun with this one!!

Laundry

Laundry is so boring!
As I bundle and fold my laundry I think of how boring doing the laundry is.
I mean all you basically do is load, and unload and repeat.
As I bundle and fold my laundry I think of the dozens of other things that I would rather do today, other than Laundry!
Laundry is so boring!

Love

Is boring
Just
A bunch of chemical reactions stranded together
Like coke in our minds-
Look it up, it's true.
It's the same, even those
Scientists
Can't tell anymore. Which
Is it? Love or cocaine?
And nobody knows.
Everybody fawns over one another and cries and laughs because
Of love
And true love is flouted
In all the movies. True love!
Ha!
And love is boring at best, disastrous at worst,
Heartache waiting to happen.
I stand on the sideline and scoff at love
Until
It hits me too.
