What are your favorite pets in Romance Novels?

I have several shelves that start with "animal" then the type of animal. They may or may not be pets, though. For example animal-dog-in-story‎ and animal-cat-in-story‎.

One that comes to mind, since I was just talking about it the other day, is , because Beatrix has a hedgehog.

That hedgehog is the very best.

On the topic of Fawkes... I went to Harry Potter Burlesque last weekend...it was wonderful...my favorite dancer and costume was an aerialist who was Fawkes.

Pamela, has a pet in the story. Cool. I have that on audio.
