Sounds like a good plan. I will be starting tonight.

randomreader (goodreadscomrandomreader) | 43 comments Hi! I'm here! :) I'll most likely start it next week.

Debbi Faust I am joining in as soon as I get the book.....hopefully from my library. I am having so much fun doing these group reads with you, Krista, and all of the other participants.

I had to buy my copy on Amazon. It was new and only $8.00 plus S&H.

I put my book on hold at at the Library but I was way down the list so I ended up getting a new book on Amazon for $8.00 plus S&H.

Katherine I am just joining but have started the book already. With work (i commute 1hr each way), I will probably not be able to keep up with the pace you're reading, but I will do my best.

I haven't started yet!! AAAAHHHHH. SO sorry! I got caught up in Anne of the Island and now Tome Topple has started and I am going to start Jane Eyre. I WILL get to this one soon! I set everything up so you can all start whenever you can and get the conversations going! I'll be joining in soon!

The way I set up each book is with different discussion posts for every few chapters. That way there's no time limit and people can join in the discussion at whatever point they are in the book throughout the month. No dates or deadlines. Hopefully that way more people can participate! :)

Sharon Forbes (sharonaforbes) | 15 comments I started reading it Thursday while my Mum was having a scan done...sat outside and waited on her as it was such a pretty day out. However, her scan took much less time than either of us thought it would, so I only have read the first 30 pages. I will probably try and get more read this weekend, it looks like it's going to be a good, light-hearted read from what I can tell so far.

Becky I'm here and I'll be starting tonight or tomorrow. It's been a really slow reading month for me, but I finally finished a book this month and I'm ready to give this one a go.

Debbi Faust I haven't even started it. I have two other books to read before I get to Lillian. So far this month has been crazy busy.

I just can't seem to get into this book. I think it's just not the book for me or maybe it's just not the right time for it. I'll be back in May for Lilac Girls.

SAME!! Ugh. But Easter is over now and I will have a bit more time. Hoping to start this week! Yikes!!

Wendy (wmaresca) I am struggling with it also but I am going to try and push through. I hate DNFing books.

Yes I hear you. I know to DNF a book or not is something all readers struggle with. I'm already in a bit of a reading slump so it was best for me to just move on this time. I hope it gets better for you! :)

I hate DNFing but sometimes you win one and sometimes you lose some.

Wendy (wmaresca) Ok everyone I am loving the book, so glad I didn't dnf it. Keep reading I beg you, it gets so much better.

Catherine Pinkett | 2 comments The library group does not have a copy of this book anywhere. so disappointed :-(

Wendy (wmaresca) So I finished the book and I have to say I really ended up loving it. It just hit me right in the feels as my friend According to Jewles would say. Lillian had such a full and sometime hard life. 4.5 stars for me only reason I didn't give it five was because of the slow start.

I am glad that you finally ended up liking the book. I guess I will be giving a good old try.

Wendy (wmaresca) :) yeah keep reading Debbi I swear it gets better.

If I wasn't already fighting a reading slump all month, I'd keep reading. I'll keep this in mind though and maybe pick the book up again when I'm not slumpy to begin with.

Oh man. I'm going to push through, but I'm not really into it. How long did it take you to start liking it? I'm at chapter 7 and really tempted to just not finish. Hmmm...
