Central European Tarts discussion

I'm not super thrilled with this one. It's just...flat. Maybe because it's a pretty basic treatment of the same things I've already read a million times. It's not bad, I'm not saying that. It's just, nothing new, I guess.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt. It was kinda like the book version of being handed a dish of plain vanilla ice cream, while looking around at all kinds of awesome yummy gourmet ice creams. It was good vanilla ice cream, and if that's all you could get, then OK. But so many other books/ice creams right at hand are so much more interesting, and exciting.

Okay, so I have both books so it is time to go for it. I'd love to know your opinion about our hangout. Are we going to do it now or are we going to meet by the end of this month and talk about all four books?

I got both the books too. But for the time being I can't say anything for the date. I'm planning to attend come courses, so I'll learn the dates on 20th or so. Then I can give an opinion for the date.

I've got spring fever something awful, and it's still all half frozen half thawed so going out and doing things requires too many things ranging from snow boots to short sleeves depending on the day. So I'm all for one now, one later, maybe talking books will help get my mind off it!

We got through the big shots visiting at work, they should stop keeping me late for awhile now. :) I'm basically just gonna check the page for hangouts once I get home for the next week to look for green dots :P If anyone's on, we can have hangout for the hiatus books. If not, I'll eventually close the window so my cat doesn't walk on the keyboard and call people in the middle of the night!

I'm still free pretty much whenever. Really want to get together soon, though. Miss you guys.

Okay, I deserve box of Sugar Lumps bcs I finished both books and I have to say I LOVED THE ALT PIC. So right now I am really looking forward the hangout bcs I want to know your opinions :)

OK, so are we good for calling this for the 30th, maybe? Elif had it as a secondary choice in her comment, I'm good with it cause it'll be after company leaves, Jen will let us know if "everyday is OK" ever changes, so just need to know if you're good with it Kris. :)

I should be. We have national day on 1st and we are visiting family on 30th but I do not expect any celebrations coming so I should be ready ;)
