Breeze darted through the forest, her ears twitching, flattening quickly as she paused. Everything was quiet. Almost too quiet
Spinel walked through the woods, her scythe was still summoned and she held it over her shoulder, keeping watch. She had the scythe summoned incase she got attacked by someone or something, she just wanted to be safe. Her feet crunched some leaves as she kept walking through the woods, her purple hair seemed to shine from the sunlight that poked through the trees.
Mercy had gone ahead of the others as a scout. She stopped and stood still, too surprised to turn invisible, when she saw Spinel.
"What are you doing?" she asked after a few moments.
"What are you doing?" she asked after a few moments.
"I just--my friends and I have to be careful," Mercy replied, pushing her pink hair out of her face. "We're being hunted...Okay, maybe I shouldn't say any more."
Jarin arrived, calmly walking through the forest with some ice cream in his hands, then noticed the group and looked curiously at them.
The others appeared cautiously behind Mercy.
"We'll be fine, once the King is dead," Kate said bitterly, answering Spinel.

((It's up to you two. I'm fine with or without posting order, tbh))
((alright then))
Jarin slowly walked to them, looking at them all and deciding they wouldn't be an enemy. "Hello ladies." Jarin said calmly.

Mercy and Kate were silent. Iris summoned her shield, but smiled nervously. "Hello," she said.
"Nice to meet all of you, my name is Jarin, and what's yours." Jarin asked, removing his bow and dropping it on the ground to signify he wasn't a threat to Iris
((My new character was approved, so I'll start to use her, too, if that's okay))
"I'm Kate, and my sisters are Iris and Mercy." Kate glanced nervously into the trees as she spoke, sure she'd heard laughter. Maybe she was going insane from exhaustion. After all, she hadn't slept in a few days.
Copperleaf watched the group, unnoticed, from her vantage point in the branches of a tree.

Spinel looked at Jarin and said, "My name is Spinel." She retracted her weapon to a mere stick before putting it back inside her gem, she could summon it any time she needed it anyways, incase of emergency.
"Hello Spinel, nice to meet you. Jarin said, then turned to Kate. "Why do you and your sisters seem so afraid, is there something wrong." he asked
"We're running from a madman, and we just lost a member of our group. So, yeah, I guess you could say there's something wrong," Kate replied.
"Don't be rude," Iris told her. "We just met this person." To Jarin, she said, "Sorry about Kate. It's been a rough week."

Spinel said, "Im sure you might be safe here, I haven't seen any threats except a rude Amber gem who acts just like a Diamond does." She huffed a bit.
"Well that sounds like lots of problems, luckily I don't think he'll get here, and if he does, I can handle it, and don't worry about it, I understand." Jarin said, then turned to Spinel. "A ... gem? is that a new race?"
Copperleaf was easily amused by humans. She giggled again, causing Kate to look around in fear. This time Iris had heard the sound too. "Who's there?" she called.
Spinel said, "Gems are not new races, they've existed for thousands of years. There are mainly the Homeworld gems, the Crystal Gems who reside in Beach City on Earth, and the Kindergarten Gems. Im a Kindergarten gem meaning I was created on Earth." she stopped talking when she heard a giggle, then pulled the scythe out of her gem, which glowed when she grabbed the purple stick, before she made the blade show, holding the scythe over her shoulder once more.
When Copperleaf saw the scythe, her mood changed quickly. She assumed that it would be used for hunting some innocent animal--and that was the one thing guaranteed to enrage her. "Get out of my woods!" she yelled, jumping lightly to the ground and trying to look threatening.
"Oh, alright, I have missed a lot then, and most were created on a different planet then." Jarin said, then looked around before his eyes glowed a white colour for a second, then looked at Copperleaf's exact location.
Spinel looked at Copperleaf and she said, "What...are you?" She made the scythe disappear, due to thinking her as none threatening, she didn't feel like starting a fight either, after all Copperleaf didn't attack her.
She calmed down slightly. "I'm a forest spirit. 'Least, that's what my mum called our kind. What are you?" she added somewhat rudely.
Jarin watched and smiled a little. "Well, my name is Jarin, and I'm an half angel, so what's your name then." Jarin said calmly as he leaned against a tree.
"I'm called Copperleaf," she said to Jarin. Turning to Spinel, she narrowed her eyes. "You can't be a protector. That's what I'm for."
The three sisters stared at the strange child. They'd had no idea that there was such a thing as a forest spirit; in fact, they thought she was lying. "Where are her parents?" Iris asked herself.

"Isn't a forest spirit just the protecter of his/her forest, she said she's the protector of the whole world." Jarin said, amused by the fact that these Woods seemed to have one too. "I guess dead." Jarin said.
"Well, I wouldn't say the whole world, since I cant be everywhere at once but since mostly gems attack beach city or crazy things happen there, Im positioned at Beach City with the Crystal Gems." She explained.
"Yer right, they're long dead," Copperleaf told the group nonchalantly. "I've been on my own for a long time," she added, her tone revealing nothing. She could have been proud or sad, or both--it was hard to tell.
Jarin yawned slowly. "So, most spirits I came across are a little more mature, so what happened to you." Jarin simply asked.
"Nothing happened," she said, becoming defensive again. "I was created in a hurry, so I'm young. That's what my parents said."
Spinel stayed quiet now, not wanting to interrupt their talking, after all, she learned it was rude to interrupt a conversation, especially since she didn't know what to say currently.
"Alright, but why were they in a hurry, if they can tell you they were it seems like they could've just finished the job." Jarin said, putting his bow back on his back.
She shrugged. "They knew there wasn't much time left," she said, clutching her amulet,
"What does that mean? Unless you don't feel like talking about it." Spinel said, looking at Copperleaf.
((Sorry if it isn't my turn to post, I kind of lost track))
"They never told me what it means," Copperleaf said. "Hey, look!"
She darted away after a brightly colored insect. Mercy followed her, in case the woods were dangerous.
Iris stiffened suddenly. "I can feel his presence," she whispered, unaware that she was talking out loud. She grabbed Kate's arm. "Cove might be alive!"
Kate pulled away from her sister. "I know you want to believe that, but there's no way. You know your power isn't always reliable."

"He is...or was...one of Iris's friends," Kate explained. "I think the King's army captured him. And if that's the case, he's better off dead." Her eyes darkened as she thought of what the King had done in the past.
"It's no use."
Iris flinched, then walked a few steps down a worn path half-hidden in foliage. "I don't know if it's him, but I can feel a person this way. And they're in pain. We have to help them, whoever they are."
