Tv Freaks discussion

So this is just building on the group description, so make sure you've read that.

I'll watch basically anything (apart from comedy/cop/murder investigation shows). I don't knock it until I've tried it :) It would always help to have some motivation though.

My mode of watching is mainly Netflix, but if you have another site for me, let me know XD I will try anime too, but only if you give me a website to watch it on.

If you need any clarification on anything, or whatever, just post :)

P. S. I'd prefer to actually watch some shows with some people, rather than just getting recommended shows, but that's fine too :)

Hey, I like this idea a lot! It's awesome you've created this group and I appreciate it. I have an online friend with whom I watch movies together and have been looking on the internet for TV Series/Movie watching clubs to buddy watch shows and movies but couldn't find anything to my satisfaction.

It seemed to me there was a lack of such clubs on the internet and it's interesting to see you've recommended this social activity on Goodreads, which is a community for book readers and mostly book related activities :)

My first question is whether the group is exclusively for watching TV shows/series or movies would have a place in the group as well?

Oh good point! Movies are included as well :) I'll change that in the description.

I just wanted it to be somewhere I know I've got friends on, and somewhere that I feel comfortable doing stuff like this with. And that's why it's in the Totally Pointless group XD

Hey Maddie this is a great idea! I love watching TV and movies and I have a ton of shows that I watch so recommendations won't be hard. What kind of TV shows do you like to watch? I watch quite a variety but not comedy. I just can't stick comedy

Haha, I didn't notice it's in the the Totally Pointless group XD To my opinion it's one of less pointless social activities. I would love a similar social club in real life. It's useless over here because I end up being the only person interested in it. I tried starting a book club irl and once I was sure it wasn't going to gather any interest I turned to online book club communities. Hopefully, this group is going to be a fun club for all us :)

Hi Kadi. I've tried to get into comedy TV shows but somehow I can't even get into well-known ones. It doesn't help that there are so many drama/serious type of TV shows that I enjoy watching because they make me inclined to spend any spare time I would use for watching any series on those kind of shows.

Yeah I don't really like comedies either. Maybe I'll add that to the first post. I also don't really like murder/cop shows.

I clarified it to murder investigation shows, but I'll take a look at Dexter now.

I suppose, once again, I shouldn't really say no until I've watched it, so yeah haha.

Hey I totally get you Lee. There really isn't many like social groups online to talk about movies/ shows and It's so sad cos I don't know a lot of people who watch all the shows I watch so it's no fun cos there's no one to fangirl with, if you get me.
That's why this group is a cool idea!

That's what you and your partner/group decide :) you decide what show and when to start and how many episodes to watch

I just want to say that I also am not a huge fan of comedy series - with one exception.

Parks and Recreation is one of my favourite shows. The first season isn't great but over time it really grows and ends up being genuinely hilarious, and you fall in love with the characters. Definitely give it a try!

I mostly watch comedy, crime, and drama shows. I'll occasionally watch K-dramas too. Some of my top favorite shows would be Supernatural, Hannibal, Sherlock, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, Avatar the Last Airbender, Revenge and The Walking Dead.
