Zach Martin My book was The Serpent's Shadow by Rick Riordan, I think this book is a great addition to the Kane Chronicles series and it was a good ending to the series. It is a fictional story about a family that have to save the world by using the power of the Egyptian gods. The main characters are Carter Kane and his sister Sadie Kane, they are magician's that can use the power of the gods by letting the god use them as a host body. The book is about Carter and Sadie Kane saving the world from total destruction by a giant Serpent of chaos. It is set during a present day and is in Egypt, the brooklyn house, and the daut. Egypt is where they battle the chaos serpent, the brooklyn house is their base of operations, and the daut is like hell it is where the evil creatures and the gods live. The gods and the Kane family with their followers fight the serpent chaos to make sure the world won't turn to despair. The themes are the fight between good and evil or Kane family and the gods versus chaos and the evil magicians against them. Another is the struggle inside of them not to lose hope and give in to the chaos. The third struggle is inside of the house of life we're the magician's split, some don't like the idea of using the god's power because they might take control of your body. This story impressed me by the way they worded things to draw you into the story. I recommend this book to anyone interested in fiction and have read the first two books. I give this book five stars because it is a great way to end a good story about the Kane family adventures.
