West with the Night
I've already chosen my book, but I think any book by Bill Bryson or Paul Theroux would be great choices!
The Little Paris Bookshop. About a literary apothecary on a barge traveling the rivers of France. Great read!
Seven Years in Tibet, Heinrich Harrer - memoir of the author's life from late WWII to Chinese occupation (from his time in a POW camp thru his escape) in Tibet where he becomes the tutor of the Dalai Lama.
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet - Becky Chambers. Excellent story about a crew of people thrown together travelling to their next gig.
