Hi guys
Has anyone written or discovered anything new recently?

I found a great tool for editing. It's called Hemingwayapp.
It locates adverbs and passive voice, as well as rating the reading level of your writing. It's pretty cool.

Doesn't really help with procrastination though... or perhaps it may for you, who knows.

I will try this app. In my collection of editors are Grammarly and Yoast. Both are good, but who knows, Hemingway is a powerful name.

At first i was like. This app won't dictate the way I write!!!! with lots of angry emoticons pasted everywhere. But then I went over all the highlights and hey this actually works. thanks for this one.

ff up comment. it highlights all the passive voices. What if i really want to purposely make it passive? Does this mean i'm not writing things correctly?

Hemingwayapp. I think i'm going to do all of my 2nd edits in here. Then back to word when i'm on the 3rd

I don't use any third-party grammar checkers (unless I'm required to in class), and Katy, it's perfectly fine to choose to write with a passive voice. Typically, writers are warned off writing their entire piece in a passive voice, not just one sentence. In many cases, it's unavoidable.
