She hopes to be an adult figure that students can come too if they have a problem that they can't really tell anyone. She was often getting scolded for painting and drawing on things not meant to be. Nico's childhood was full of this, until she learnt how to do other things, like sculpting. When Nico was twelve, her parents enrolled her in the school of the arts, when she graduated at age fourteen, she was enrolled in Ouran Academy. Nico loved Ouran, wanting to teach art there when she was old enough. Nico graduated Ouran at age 17, then went to an art college in Germany for four years. Once Nico finished college, she came back to her home town and applied for the teaching job. Upon first meeting Minato, he seems like a kind, polite person. He comes off as friendly, and him being a teacher seems almost natural. His smile is soft and due to him being quite sociable, interactions with others are smooth and easy. There is not a thing about him that is standoffish or intimidating, save for his looks. If a student needs help with anything, he is there to lend a hand, and he does to patiently and calmly. It is hard to imagine him as anything but gentle and sweet, not to mention how soft his touch is. He is beautiful and when his looks are paired with his first impression, it can almost seem as if he is an angel sent straight from heaven. The boys in his class are also entranced by him, as he is so welcoming. Nothing about him can make even the shyest person cower away.

EASILY-FLUSTERED/CONSIDERATE/CHARMING

As befitting his first impression, Minato is easily the most charming person at Ouran outside of the host club. He may he a teacher, but due to how considerate and kind he comes off, many students, male and female, have come to him with declarations of love—not to mention the countless teachers. Publicly, he is very sweet when he turns them down, apologizing and blushing in such a precious way that the crushes of those people often only become worse. His blush, the innocence of it, and the shy smile he often has paired with it, is enough to anyone swoon. And, luckily for his admirers, the flush of his pale cheeks shows itself often, as it doesn't take much intimacy to make him blush. It is one of the things about him that draws others in. They are easily caught in the spider's web that is his charm, and they only realize they have made a mistake when it's too late.

FLIRTATIOUS/INTIMIDATING/DEMANDING/BLUNT

Not too far underneath that gentle exterior of his is the true Minato: an intimidating, blunt, flirt. His personality sticks true to his zodiac, in meaning that he both needs to be control and needs to be with people. Loneliness does not look good on him, and he constantly needs attention. For a lover, this is a difficult thing to overcome, which has led to heartbreak in the past for him. Unfortunately, he found a solution—he would make students and teachers like fall for him. Once they have fallen for his charm, they get a hint of the beast behind the mask. His flirtatiousness, once he is attracted to a certain person, regardless of their sex, becomes overwhelming. He makes remarks at students behind closed doors, only tangling his victims further in his trap. Once he has them, they have no chance of escaping until he gets bored with them. To add to this, he is quite demanding. He needs to constantly be in control, and due to how easily he makes people fall for him, he gets rid of those who resist, which keeps him in control and keeps him happy.

HOT-HEADED/AGGRESSIVE/LOUD/PHYSICAL

Unfortunately for those who get on his nerves, Minato is trained in judo, not to mention boxing. He is strong and, despite how well he can usually conceal it, he is hot-headed. It doesn't take much to set him off, but when someone does so properly, they had better watch out. When he is angered, he gets extremely aggressive, and becomes practically the opposite of what he is like daily. He gets really physical, and while he will rarely directly harm the person who pissed him off, he will throw or kick the things around him. Luckily, no one at school has seen him like this before, but he was not afraid to judo-flip several delinquent boys about a block from the school when he saw them harassing some girls from a different district of Tokyo. Sometimes his training comes in handy for wooing possible interests, but don't test your luck. If he's aiming a fist at your face, it's not likely that he's swatting a fly—you've likely somehow ticked him off, and it will not be a pleasant experience.

{History:}
• Minato was born the son of two women, a popular hostess at a club and the woman her birthed him, a stay-at-home mother. Both of his parents loved him dearly despite the ridicule they often received, and he could never have asked for a better family. The three of them lived happily, but one always knows that happiness does not last forever. In fact, misery struck Minato and his loving family hard, one at a time. And... Well, let's just say things come in threes.

The first misfortune that hit his life came when he was fifteen years old. He was in the middle of class at the local public school when he was called to the front office. The news was shocking to say the least. His perfectly healthy, cheerful, playful mother, the hostess, was shot and killed at her club. The story he and his remaining parent were fed was that a man had barged into the club with a gun. He was on a rampage and aimed the gun at a different hostess who had somehow offended him, and Minato's mother leapt in front of the bullet to save her. Despite her lover dying, Minato's birth-mother continued to shower him in love. They both got jobs so they could keep their house, but even the lack of money couldn't keep her from trying her best for her son. Unfortunately, before the two could properly recover from the loss of their other family member, misfortune struck again.

This particular one was the loss of their apartment. Minato and his mother were kicked out of their home when he was about seventeen lived on the streets for almost half a year before he was expelled from school. The malnourished pair were beginning to wither away when his mother did something she never thought she would have to do; she called her father. The man had disowned her due to her being a lesbian, and he cut her off from the family fortune. But she was desperate to give her son a better, more fulfilling life. They were taken into her father's home in the countryside, but it was not without a price. She was forced to marry a man of high status for the benefit of her father's company.

Minato tried his best to be there for his mother as she had always been for him, but by the time he was nineteen, their luck once again ran out. This third misfortune was the hardest on Minato. He had seen his mother beginning to sink into a depression, but despite his best efforts, it wasn't enough in the end. Upon one of his visits to her new home, he found that the bathroom door in her bedroom was locked from the inside. After somehow managing to open it, he walked in on a horrific sight. His mother had killed herself in a bloody, brutal way, both leaving him alone and traumatized. He had never screamed louder. It took two years of therapy for him to recover from the trauma, but when he was finally allowed back into proper society, he was a changed man.

Minato was forced to then go to college for two years, studying the only subject he could stomach: Literature. Thanks to his rich grandfather, who he came to despise quite easily, he scored a job at Ouran as a literature teacher. He has not been at Ouran long but he has already earned a reputation. He is flirtatious but all of what he does is a cover for how incredibly lonely and messed up he is. His parents left him in cruel ways, and the images of his birth-mother's suicide are still ingrained in his memory. Due to this, he has developed a sort of insomnia, as a way to battle the images that haunt his dreams. All he needs is some love, people!

Sam has always loved fun, and is always supportive of anything that he believes God approves of. He's often oblivious to quite a lot of things, and his "motivational" videos that are geared towards people with disabilities are often more insulting than anything else. However, while he tried to be as supportive to everyone, he can't stand gays, as he thinks of them as a disgrace to his helmet, Jesus.

Sam doesn't remember much from his childhood, but he vaguely recalls his mother, the hall monitor, dying in childbirth. His father wasn't always present throughout his life, and he was mostly raised by their nanny, Donnitha. He grew up as a fairly average child would, and upon graduating, he moved out of his father's house, and into a slightly smaller habitat. His nanny's daughter, Donna, was his roommate. Sam just wanted to spread good to the world, so he worked on making workout videos for young teens with disabilities. However, this career wasn't as steady as he'd hoped, so he moved on to the nearby school, pleading with them to be their gym teacher. The school was currently desperate for someone to fill that position, so they gave it to him.
