SOS: Serious Overload of Series discussion

This is the discussion thread for our June BOM: White Hot by Ilona Andrews.

I cannot wait! I'm considering re-reading #1 though since I read it last in Nov 2014. O.o

LOL I don't have to re-read it since I've already read it about 6 times. I am really looking forward to this release.

I re-read #1 last month, naively thinking that #2 is coming out soon - I did not factor in the awful waiting in between, especially after being reminded of the awesomeness of IA.

I'm so glad I re-read #1. I'm sure I'd be able to remember once I'd started #2, but it's always nice having a fresh memory of where we left off.

I hadn't read Burn for Me, so I began it on Tuesday. I've already reading White Hot today, and I'm loving this (perhaps more than the first one) but the third isn't till August ;-(

It's always a toss up whether to start with just book 1 or wait until the end of the series. Apparently this is a trilogy.

I loved the freshness of the world building, I was glad that it wasn't as complex as Kate Daniels .

A nice blend of mystery, politics and a great romance. Loved Nevada's sassiness. Rogan is hot!!! The banter is superb.

I'm planning on reading #1 & #2 again straight through, probably after the w/e when I won't be interrupted :)

I'll definitely re-read straight through, but not until we're closer to #3, most likely. I'm trying to make myself read slowly ... it's very difficult!

I am enjoying the book. Nice mix of paranormal beings, characters well developed and the plot is fast moving and engaging. Hope to finish it tonight.

I loved it. Liked the first one a wee bit more, but this is a fun sequel.

I have been reading the snippets on IA's blog for Wildfire. I don't know if it helps with the waiting or makes it worse lol. The release is only a couple months away but it still seems like too long to wait!!

I've managed to avoid them. Although I agree ... hard to know if it helps or makes it harder to wait for the whole kit and kaboodle :)

Steph and Vivian, I am pretty sure we have book hangover. We had the best time for just a few hours and now it's over..... sigh... the end of July is so far away, and to make matters worse the final book in the trilogy.

On their blog, IA mention a 4th book but not sure if it will be self-published. So at least two more! (ETA - I may have spoken too soon. This is what they actually said:

Will there be more in Hidden Legacy or will the trilogy end the story?

The trilogy reaches a satisfying conclusion – we hope – but we left the door open for more books. We would love to do more, because they are fun to write. What form they take depends on how well the trilogy sells. If the trilogy sells well and Avon is receptive to some of our demands, Hidden Legacy will continue in its current format. If not, then we’ll self-publish.


White Hot was so amazingly good! I tried my best to draw it out, I think I made it last over 24 hours haha. Rogan is my new favorite book bf, super hot. And I would probably read a story about any member of Nevada's family! So much curiosity lingering there.

I have moved from hangover to withdrawals! Counting down the days...

Yes total withdrawal. I am currently reading four books! Nothing is holding my attention, and it is not the book's fault.
