YA Read-Alongs discussion

ALL THE SPOILERS. :) Be cautious!

I had already started reading this before it became one of our books of the month (hence me skipping all the discussions till this one).
Anyway, let's get to the point: King's Cage. I have mixed feelings about it??? but it is definitely my least favorite from the series. I feel like by now most of the characters are pretty predictable so that made it somewhat boring and the big parts where they just talked about their non-existent plans made it slow.
Still, I loved Evangeline's development as a character and I hope she gets her freedom in the end (although for some reason I feel like she is one of the characters more likely to get killed at some point). I hate the whole "you were made to marry a king" thing they are putting on her again.
Speaking of that, what even with the epilogue????? I'm slightly disappointed on both sides but things had been to good for them and some drama was bound (also this is not my favorite ship ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
I want to see more of Farley as a mom (and??? who did the baby stay with while she was kicking ass at war????) and I want baby Shane to somehow save everything (kind of like Jack Jack from the Incredibles)
I feel like I'm being to negative but I miss Mare being the only one with lightning power, even though they work differently she lost her uniqueness and that gave a lot to her character.
This is the first time I writte on a discussion like this so I hope I did it right lmao and let me hear how you felt about these things.

I LOVED Kings Cage!!! I thought the story was so well-done and the characters were finally becoming organic and hitting their plot lines.

@Montse: The epilogue KILLED me too (but also I ship MareCal so for different reasons haha). I totally agree with adding in more electrons, I felt like it took away from Mare a little but I guess Aveyard wants to show that Mare isn't the only red blood with powers.

I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks will come in RQ4? I strongly feel like both Cal and Maven will die--BOTH in some attempt to save Mare from something??

I am really hoping to be able to get this book signed tomorrow. I missed out on it today and I am torn between getting this book signed or getting lady midnight signed (they are at the same time and apparently you can't two wristband artist to sign your books in the same hour)
