If you are reading the same book as your last entry (first lines), where are you in the book? (page number or chapter).
Type a favorite line from a scene so far. Explain what was happening, what characters were involved, and why you like that line.
What question/s do you have about what will happen?

If you finished your last book, how would you rate it and why? Refer to specifics to support your reason. Describe one great scene in the book (without giving away spoilers). What is the author's style like? (For instance, The Sun is Also a Star tells the story from the two main character's points of view, titling chapters by who is narrating. However, she also gives minor characters chapters, so you get to see things from outside the scene).

If you have a new book altogether, give the title, author, and # of pages. Why did you pick it? Type the first line of the book. What are your reactions? In 4-5 sentences, tell more about what has happened in the book so far (and what page and/or chapter you are on).

The Obsidian Blade
Chapter 8 page 62
Tucker Feye, the protagonist is 13 years old. He is just an average teenager that is going through family issues.
The central conflict has to do with Tucker's father, who was working on there roof suddenly disappeared, then the priest (who lives with them) found him and brought him home. He father starts acting very strangely in the next few weeks, and at this point that's the only main conflict. My question is: what caused Tucker's father to disappear?

I think a quote that I thought was interesting was "Here is what to expect at your own funeral." (Page 90, chapter 6) I thought this was an interesting quote because in life, you don't really need to worry about how people are going to react at your funeral considering you aren't there, but Denton is there, and is delivering a self eulogy, and it is quite comical and interesting.

In on chapter 2
" hi I'm Teva Webb, Freak of Nature. I have a large family" in the sentence it's Teva talking in to a video camera starting to tell about her strange life between her family and her and how her and her sisters are really the same person one year apart because every year on their birthday the current one splits and make the new Teva this is my favorite because the teva is finally telling the world what's going on with her and her family even though her mom doesn't want her too.
Will Teva ever have her own life?

My favorite scene so far is when the main character, Tim, gives up his troublemaking friends for the most part because all he wants to do is make music and not get in trouble 24/7. Tim says "I tell this to fans, and also kids, you need to feel like your riding around with the A team, not people that always need help." I like this scene because it shows that he doesn't want to get involved with terrible things like gangs drugs fights, he just wants to focus on his passion.

Beast By. Ally Kennen.
I'm on page 24 Ch. 4.
I don't have a favorite line. In the book, there is a guy who is a big trouble maker, and he likes pork and buys it a lot. He is trying to not be seen by his family, ans trying to get to his home. He injures a tooth.
What will happen to his tooth.

In My book there is no real protagonist but in this chapter of the book I guess that the "protagonist" or thing that is keeping the players to underperform is the Relocation of they're team or getting traded. This causes the players to underperform because when the move to a new town or place they have to re-adjust to they're home and environment and they have to try and focus on they're game and they're family at the same time while they are getting they're family settled in.

"I will not get detention. I will not get expelled. I will be good. I will be quiet. I will be still." (Finch page 33) This line is Finch thinking to himself because Roamer won't let him through the door.

"A War of Gifts" by Orson Scott Card
I am on page 88 in my book.
"The counselor did listen—or at least sat in a room with him while he talked. But it came to nothing." In this line, Zeck is complaining to a counselor that kids are celebrating Christmas in battle school and they shouldn't be able to because it is part of their religion, and religion isn't allowed in battle school.

The book I was reading and have now finished was Young Elites. I would rate the book a 4/5 because it is fast pace and has a lot of action in it. The author style is that every chapter is from a different characters point of view but is mostly from the main characters view Adelina. One unique and great sense in the book is when Adelina is about to be burned but get saved by the Elites. This is a great part in the book because they have a huge fight and it leaves you questioning what just happened.

Unwind
Chapter 3 Page 32
Levi Jedediah Calder, another protagonist in the book is at a party with his friends, family and other people from the country. The party has been planned for years and Levi is nervous because this is the last party he is going to spend with all of them before he goes to the Unwinding program because he got picked and so he is doing as much as he can to make this party worth his while.

The Hit
Chapter 6 page 53

My favorite line from the book right now is, "before he went out, Adam rooted around under his bed and pulled out the condoms he kept midden in a little cardboard box. He put them in his pocket, all except one, which he took to an old electrical socket in the wall that has been disconnected ages ago. He unraveled the tiny copper threads sticking out of the wall and used one of them to pierce a hole on the condom. It was tiny; you'd never know." I liked that line because i already know that this is going to go downhill fast. Adam, the protagonist, is being pulled out of school to work for the rest of his life and he thinks the only way to make his life better is to empregnate his girlfriend, Lizzie.

I chose this book because the story intrigued me.
"I can already tell this is one of those moments I'll later wish I could forget." This first sentence really hooked me to start reading this book because I wanted to find out what she's doing, and what got her in this situation.
Elena Martinez is the main character who has survived in the slums of LA. Moving from foster home to foster home. Learning to defend for herself. She can't seem to catch a break, until Leena from Aether corp. comes and gives her a job.

"Four flips the gun in his hand, presses the barrel to Peter's forehead, and clicks the bullet into place." (Page 77) Peter was making some dumb comments and Four got mad. I like this quote because Peter is annoying.

"Water and Ash scoured my face" Here the volcano had just erupted and they're trying to get away from it but they had to run through the ashfall and it wasen't easy, especially with blood coming out of your nostrils.
The chatacters so far are Alex,Joe,Darren,Chain and the family
I wonder if they're going to make it out of the ashfall on time and safely.

I am on page 34 chapter 4
So far a good line in the book has been "Not to mention if Brady found out I'd kissed his cousin, we'd end up beating the shit out of each other".This passage is significant because it shows how people could be best friends but if family gets involved then there could be problems. One scene in the book is when Maggie was first getting to her locker and there was a couple making out right next to her. This was significant because the couple had stopped and the girl started whispering things to her boyfriend because Maggie couldn't speak. The author in this book likes to tell the story from different perspectives because in the book every chapter is told either from the guys point of view or the girls point of view.To me it keeps the story interesting because I am not focused on just one person.

The sisterhood of the traveling pants
Ann Brashares

I picked this book because i didn't know what to read, and as i started reading it became interesting. "Can you close that suitcase?" Tubby asked Carmen. "It's making me sick." When I first read this i thought that maybe Tibby was moving or going on vacation somewhere she didn't want to go. As I kept reading I figured out that my prediction was true. Tibby & her friends were are leaving to different places over the summer. But Tibby didn't want to go to South Carolina, because she didn't know what she could possibly do over there. Later that day the girls find an old pair of jeans in Carmens closet. All the girls made each other try them on, they all had different shapes of bodies. As the girls kept trying them on, the other girls were surprised that the pair of jeans fit them all. So they called them the "magic jeans".

Mr. Mercedes
Stephen King
421 pages
I picked this book because I found that my last hood was the last book in a trilogy so I started reading the first book instead cause I really like the story. The first line in the book is " Augie Odenkirk had a 1997 Datsun that still ran well in spite of high mileage, but gas was expensive, especially for a man with no job, and City Center was on the far side of town, so he decided to take the last bus of the night.". It's an interesting way to start a book since the author is giving lots of detail for the first line in his book. So far in book, at the city center that the man was going to there was a job fair and many people gathered to have a chance of getting one. While they were there a Mercedes started coming into the thick fog of the night and all of a sudden the man driving the car starts to run people over in lines and kills many.

Pg 86
“Sometimes no matter how many eyelashes or dandelion seeds you blow, no matter how much of your heart you tear out and slap on your sleeve, it just ain't gonna happen.”
During this part of the book Ella comes to the realization that sometimes what ever good luck thing you do something's just don't work out. She tries hard to make things happen that are probably improbable. During this part of the book Ella and Edward willing are involved. She wishes to be noticed by him but it just isn't happening. I like the line because it shows how she is maturing and accepting that something's are improbable.

The fault in our stars
Page 139. " we are literally in the heart of Jesus" I like this line because is when Augustus and hazel where getting to meet each other and hazel was nervous to talk to him because she thought he was a cute boy and when they where in there rehabilitation group Augustus was looking at her and she was doing the Samar and I liked this like because it reminds me of me when I try to talk to girls but have nothing interesting to say but just say something that makes know sense to try to talk to her. I think that later in the book Augustus and hazel are both are going to try and have a relationship because they seem that both of them like each other and they have things in common and will they ever get into and arguments because she has cancer and he is just there to help his friend.

The five stages of Andrew Bradley
Chapter five, page 49
"They've spent so much time being sick, they don't know how to be in love." (Pg 41) I think this is an interesting quote because here our main character, Andrew Brawley, talks about two sick patients in the hospital where he works at. They're names are Lexi and Trevor. Trevor is really sick and he is dying and he's In love with Lexi but Lexi takes so much time focusing on her future she doesn't know how to live in the moment.
My question would be how could Lexi still think she has a bright future even though she's really sick?

The last book that I read was Zom-B I would rate this book a 4.5 i say this because it leaves you with some unanswered question
Like in this scene where some mutants come and take something where do they come from?
The Authors style it's kind of suspensiva because It leaves you with a thought What would happen next? and so on.
For example the book swipe tells the story of a futuristic type of city "New Chicago " where you have to get a mark to work or pretty much do anything you get the mark when you are 13

The book I'm reading is Swipe
Evan angler
275
I picked it because it looked interesting and had like a mystery type of genre

The Runway King
Chapter 7 page 60
The main character is King Jaron. He is the king of Carthya and the pirates (their Allie). Jaron is very thin, pale and tall. His personality is rude and caring and he thinks he is strong enough to do everything by him self. He is tired of people always treating him like a baby. A main conflict in the book is how Jaron family is all dead and he has to defend his kingdom alone. they never said anything about how they died. My favorite line from the book is (so far) " Your such a young king I barely remember being your age clearly where talking about how old you are". Characters involved where Jaron and a stranger. I fine this scene funny because he is talking to a complete stranger and calling her old. One question I have about the book is how did his family die?

In the book The Rose society I am in page 343 in the point of view of Adelina Amouteru.
"His lips finally break from mine. He brushes them against my cheek once more, then against the line of my jaw, and then, finally, he pulls away. For a moment, all we can do is breath. My heart thuds in my chest. The complete stillness of my energy is something I have never felt before. I am full of light. I am confused. A strange mix of guilt and wonder swims inside me." I chose this part from the book because All Adelina ever knew was hatred until she met Enzo who made her feel loved but then at a tournament Enzo was killed infront of Adelina by the lead inquisition and she hated once more. On her journey to get revenge on the young elites she gathered a group with her sister, the rainmaker, and magiano. Magiano fell for her and they shared a passionate moment just how she shared one with Enzo but the guilt and her love for Enzo made her feel guilty for kissing Magiano and not her prince Enzo but now who will she choose since Enzo has returned from the dead?
