Thoughts?

Travis (travishiltz) | 487 comments Why is Batman and Robin the one everyone rags on, while this train wreck gets a free pass?

Val Kilmer was weak, Jim Carey was horrible as the Riddler, completely pushing aside Tommy Lee Jones, who was a decent Two-Face.
Nicole Kidman's bat-fetish was more creepy and worrying than sexy and what was up with the day-glo kabuki actor gangs that roam the streets of Gotham?
The story was a jumble, never really worked for me.

Shame, as I thought Chris O'Donnel was a good Robin.
Personally, I think it's the worst of the original 4.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) No, you're right, I despised this movie. Tommy Lee Jones is an incredible actor but he irritated me beyond belief as Two-face. Jim Carrey played the riddler well but the writing was just awkward. Val doesn't fit into Batman at all, and the story was a mess - as you've said.

I agree with Tommy Lee Jones being a very good actor - but here, it seemed like he was trying to beat Jim Carey at this own game? The villains were too similar.
Maybe it was just a case of him hamming it up too much for my taste but...
I did appreciate it for introducing Dick without a lot of deviation... and (unless it was in Batman & Robin), the mention of Nightwing was cool.

Travis (travishiltz) | 487 comments There are a couple good moments with Tow-Face, where he played a nice, quiet crazy, but then it's like Tommy Lee just said 'Ah, screw it' and just followed Jim's lead and went hammy crazy and became the Riddler's sidekick.

Shame they didn't lose the Riddler and just deal with Two-Face and Robin's origin.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) I agree with you both - they were both so hokey and over the top it got on my nerves. They basically played the same villain.

Travis (travishiltz) | 487 comments watched a good youtube video that talked about Burton's plans for Batman 3 and, while I don't love all the ideas, I so wish we'd gotten that movie, rather than the mess that is Forever.

Billy Dee Williams as Two-face would have been interesting.
