What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book about three or four years ago at a library. But I forgot the name of it.

It's about a girl and her brother, who find kids in these tubes things in their house. (I think it was in the basement.)

And so they wake up the kids, and it turns out that they were in there for many, many years, and they still think they're in that time.

But their dad was a scientist, and he put them in their for some reason I can't remember,

Some scenes I can remember is them eating ice cream and riding bikes together, and them getting hyper by the amount of sugar in the ice cream. Also one girl shows the other her dolls, and the girl from the past is freaked out because she has a pierced bely-button.

It's a middle grade book, but it also could be ya, it's Sci-fiction, and it's a chapter book

And I also remember a scene where the dad tested the machine (the tube things the kids are in) with their dog.

And the cover had the two kids from the present looking at the kids from the past in the tubes. It was a really Sci-Fiction type cover.

I would really want to find it, I really liked the book.

I remember my dad reading this book in the early 2000s it was about a girl with learning difficulties who slept all day, stayed awake all night, played the piano and didn’t speak? Don’t suppose anyone knows this book do they?
