Amber (YA Indulgences) (yaindulgences) | 9 comments I figured I'd kick off this topic and see if anyone else was going. I went to BEA in Chicago last year and really liked the area. I'll be staying at the same place I did then, not a hotel. I'm hoping to do some sightseeing while there as well, I'll be joined with my mom.

Megan (taffycakes10) | 3 comments I'll be attending! I went to BEA last year too. I'm hoping ALA is just as cool :). I live in the suburbs, so I'll just be driving in for one day of the conference.

Michelle (Pink Polka Dot Books) (pinkpolkadotbooks) | 10 comments I'm going to ALA this year instead of BEA. We have 3 girls right now and are looking for a 4th.

We're staying about a mile away from McCormick-- and then either Ubering or driving over everyday (so we call all totally carpool together). We were going to stay at the hotel the conference is in, but it's completely full :( Anyway, this way is cheaper. Let me know if anyone is interested!

Jessica Pennington | 3 comments I'll be attending! My first time---so excited! Still debating if I'm going to stay with friends (4 days seems long to impose) or get a hotel for a part of it.

Lynette Floyd | 2 comments I am attending ALA for the 3rd time! I went to BEA last year at McCormik so I am super excited again that I know the general layout. I also live about 6 hrs away so I get to drive (which is pretty exciting). I can tell anyone who is worried that ALA is pretty different than BEA (or at least last years). I love them so much!

I am personally staying at a hotel that is closer to downtown. Last year at BEA I stayed at the hotel attached to McCormik and while it was SUPER convenient for me you need to Uber or cab it anywhere else.

The awesome thing about ALA is that if you stay at a hotel that partners with the convention (in Chicago there are like 20 or so) they offer super convenient shuttles to the convention. I have done this each time and it has worked perfectly because they run constantly throughout the day.
