Apryl | 259 comments That's right! Just make sure you read the heroes of Olympus series last because it could give away spoilers😊

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments WAIT NO

message 4: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments You have to read Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes and Percy Jackson's Greek Gods AFTER you read The Heroes of Olympus because it alludes to things and people in Heroes of Olympus. Does that make sense?

message 5: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments ALso, The Demigod Diaries came out BEFORE The Mark of Athena, so if you wanted to you could read that after Son of Neptune, but you do not have to. ALSO AGAIN, after you read all of those above, then you should read the Trials of Apollo, which is also by RIck Riordan and includes characters from Heroes of Olympus and basically tells what happens after that series but Percy is not the main character. Anyways I hope none of my comments cunfused you! ;D ;)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Read those two after you read all of the others.
I mean, you can read them beofre but it takes about some characters and events that may spoil a few things for you.

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Yep that's basically it. They are SO amazing, you will love them!

message 11: by Apryl (new)

Apryl | 259 comments I don't want to bash the series, but after reading this again, I don't really like Percy Jackson. I first read the books when I was 13, and now years later I see so many flaws. Actually the entire heroes of Olympus series is a disappointment. I've also heard a lot of bad things about trials of Apollo, but I really want to give Rick Riordan another go.

message 12: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments AWWWWW. I've read it SO many times and I still love it so much! Trials of Apollo isn't as good but nothing can top Percy Jackson. Also its a different narrative in Trials of Apollo so that may be part of it...

message 13: by Apryl (new)

Apryl | 259 comments Haha the only thing I truly liked about HOO was Leo Valdez. His sass kept me going through all the books. My favorite book in the series is Mark of Athena and it's the only one I actually own lol.

message 14: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments haha. I LOVE LEO SOSOSOSOSO MUCH. He is hilarious.

PJ got kind of samey after the first couple of books. I still mostly enjoyed them, but they're not rereads. I didn't read any of the others, but did read Trials of Apollo. It was fun, but again kind of samey and there were parts that felt phoned in. I still enjoyed it though. I was probably in the right mood for it when I read it.

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Awwwwwwwwwww........You guys are making me sad. Does EVERYONE feel this way about Percy Jackson?????

message 17: by Apryl (new)

Apryl | 259 comments Well it is considered middle grade. I guess it's exactly right for the crowd it was written for.

message 18: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Trrruuuuuueeeee. I am 14 after all.

message 19: by Apryl (new)

Apryl | 259 comments Exactly. I was NUTS over Percy when I was 14. I was convinced I was a daughter of Hephaestus bc I took a buzzfeed quiz and that's who I got as my godly parent. I also got Athena but I chose to go by Hephaestus bc of Leo😂

message 20: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Lollllllll. I do not know who my godly parent is yet, but I want it to be Athena. ;D I should go take a quiz right now.....

message 21: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments You got: Athena! You have a very impressive book collection in your house, or it is your house, you live in the library. While your intelligence isn't always appreciated it is boundless.

Yay!

Linda ~ they got the mustard out! ~ (linda2485) | 30 comments Yay! Athena is the best.

message 23: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Yes I know right? The others are okay though!

message 24: by Audra (new)

Audra Watts (audrasbookblabbing) | 21 comments I just read the first Percy Jackson! I liked it, but it was a lot more childish than I thought it would be.

message 25: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Well, it is meant for middle schoolers and younger readers.

message 26: by bookishlife23 (new)

bookishlife23 | 389 comments He's also 12 in the first one so.

message 27: by Andie (new)

Andie N (andie-n) | 195 comments Yeah, true.
