message 12: by Erik (new)

Erik (wordsmythe) | 1 comments I get the notifications, at least! Not reading anything too radical right now. Recently finished Wink’s “Powers that Be” and some Rankine poetry, and making my way through a couple fluffier things to talk about with friends (Keller’s “Reason for God” and Baldoni’s “Man Enough”). And I guess I’m working my way through Iain Banks’s “Consider Phlebas” with the book club I just did “Moby Dick” with.

message 13: by Donne (new)

Donne (donnehayden) | 1 comments I'm new. Is anyone still here? Now more than ever, it feels like we need something radical to happen with Christianity.

I'm currently reading Process Theology: A Guide for the Perplexed by Bruce Epperly.

Solarpunkmom | 1 comments I just finished The Sapling Cage by Margaret Killjoy and am getting ready to start Abolition Feminism Now by Angela Davis

Very much agree. I have a suspicion something radical is happening, but it'll take time.

Have you read God: A Guide for the Perplexed by Keith Ward. It's excellent.

message 16: by michelle (new)

michelle | 1 comments currently reading "violent take it by force" & highly recommend. i joined around the new yr but havent seen much activity here. seems there are at least a handful wanting to connect around this topic

Oh yes, something radical is happening but few will see it until it is too late. Like tectonic shifts in the earth's mantle few realize movement is happening until the earthquake upends their world. There is much God is doing that only a handful are aware of.
