Yoshi walked into the park, weary of his surroundings. He stared down at the ground, stepping to the side every so often to not be in anyone's way. He straightened out the hoodie he was wearing, and walked to an empty food stand. He didn't see anyone there, as he pulled out his wallet and looked at the menu. He was thinking of what he wanted, until he noticed someone walk up to get in line. He sort of recognized the male as someone from his school. As he got closer, he realized it was Blake. He quickly looked away, and ordered something random, so he could just leave. While Yoshi was trying to pull out the amount he owed, he accidentally dropped his wallet. Mentally cursing at himself, he crouched down to pick it up, embarrassed, and fearful. While in school, he had seen that Blake was quite mean towards others, so he tried to keep his distance while on school grounds. He wouldn't have imagined seeing him in the park.
Ainsley ordered his food when Yoshi dropped what he had and then, muffin in hand, knelt down and helped the fumbling boy, his expression blank. "Here," he grumbled, handing it to Yoshi but not directly touching him. He knew the rumors well. His face was blank, but unintentionally cute, as he had crumbs on the right corner of his mouth. "Why're you such a clutz?" He stood to his average height of 5'8, his long legs making him seem taller because of the angle. Not to mention his fashion sense showed off those legs, and added to his height with the heel on his ankle-boots. "I never thought such an antisocial, awkward person would come to a park, but hey. Never judge a book by it's cover."
Yoshi glanced at him, thanking him, as he put everything back. He looked up at him, and then stood up as well. The difference in their height wasn't that much, as there was only a few inches apart. He was surprised at Blake's bluntness, causing him to stutter. "I-I'm not..And I'm not antisocial." He said, feeling a slight warmth flood his cheeks. He looked away, then took the food he had ordered once it was finished being made. "I didn't think I'd see you here, either." He said quietly, taking a step away from him. They'd still be able to have a normal conversation though, so he didn't think he was being rude.
Ainsley picked at his muffin, listening half-heartedly to Yoshi's response. "I may be an asshole, but even I can appreciate nature," he stated coldly. "Whatever." He began to walk away, not caring much for Yoshi's presence, though he guessed it was nice to speak to someone without there being any intentional insults involved. Still, the boy intrigued and irritated Ainsley at the same time, as he didn't understand him. Most people immediately didn't like Ainsley due to his being foreign, and an ass, but Yoshi spoke less like he hated him and more like he was just uncomfortable if not a bit scared.
((Ohh, but I'm not sure why he'd follow him..I'll make it happen though.))
Yoshi watched as Blake left, sighing to himself. He followed him, wanting to apologize. "W-Wait..I'm sorry for my rudeness." He said, finally catching up. He walked alongside him, looking around, and keeping some space between them. Yoshi wondered why Blake acted like this towards other people, of if it was just his personality. He tended to think a lot about how other people acted, but Blake confused him sort of. He huffed a weak smile.
(Well, to keep the story going. 'Cause Ainsley wouldn't go back and talk to him)Ainsley flinched and his eyes widened when he heard Yoshi's voice and found the boy at his left. "Wh-what are you doing?" he growled and stopped walking. "You think you can just walk with me? Who the hell—" He was cut off by the excited voice of one of his only friends, in his mind. With a heavy, exasperated sigh, he ran one hand through his insane hair. "Whatever. You can walk with me." Then he began walking again, trying not to snap at the boy beside him.
((Yeah I realized that lol))
Yoshi ignored the growl in Blake's voice, and continued walking. "Thank you." He said, unsure why he suddenly allowed him to walk alongside him. As silence filled the air, he sighed. "What are your hobbies..?" He asked him, looking at the grass as they walked. He was still surprised at himself that he went after Blake, and hoped he wouldn't be asked why he did so.

Ainsley tried his hardest not to scoff at the question. "I read, eat, and practice kendo. I can kick your ass, just so you know," he stated bluntly before taking a bite out of his muffin. "And if you ever call me a glutton, I will kick your ass." Then he paused in his speaking, seeming, for a moment, a bit nervous. "Wh...what about you? Your hobbies?"
"P-Please don't." Was all Yoshi could say, his voice shaky. He couldn't imagine calling anybody a glutton. He decided to respond right away, not wanting to discuss Blakes ability of 'kicking his ass'. It made him smile a little though, at his standoffish yet cute in a way manner. "My hobbies..I like to read as well, I like to listen to music, and I guess writing as well. I'm not incredibly interesting." He said, shrugging a bit.
Ainsley suddenly stopped walking, trying to hide his excitement. And yet when he met Yoshi's eyes, his own were sparkling. "Y...you write?" His voice was almost too soft to hear. He couldn't keep his heart from racing at the hope that he had finally found someone who he could speak to as a fellow aspiring author. "Like... Writing stories? Books? That sort of thing?"
Yoshi stopped walking as well, and nodded slowly, confused. "Yeah..That sort of thing.." He said. He couldn't help but think of his excitement as adorable, but he no sooner dismissed the thought. "What about you? Do you write stories?" He asked, his voice, (if this makes sense), stiff and formal sounding. "If you want to know a specific genre that I write, then I don't have one..I just write randomly." He said truthfully. He did enjoy reading psychology books, but not writing them for some reason.
Ainsley couldn't help himself—he stepped closer to Yoshi, his eyes sparkling despite how serious his face was. "I love writing. I plan on being an author. I take psychology classes and lessons on criminals and I do my own self-study to improve my writing and my understanding of it. You're not lying about writing, right? You don't only do it as a hobby, right? Are you an aspiring author, or are you just bored?" He seemed to get defensive of writing as a whole, but it was only a way to make him seem less excited.
Yoshi stepped back from Blake, anxiously. "I don't take any particular classes, but I self-study on a lot of topics." He said. "I'd like to publish something one day, but I'm still kind of unsure about my abilities as a writer.." He explained. He fiddled with the hoodie's drawstrings he was wearing as he spoke. "Do you enjoy psychology?" He asked Blake, curiously.
Ainsley stepped back, clearing his throat, and then started walking again. "Um, yes. I do. I am taking a class right now, actually. But I prefer just reading more books to study writing. I..really enjoy, um, fantasy books. Faeries, to be specific.... If you ever tell anyone this, I will kick your ass," he threatened to hide his insecurity.
"I-I won't tell anyone..jeez.." Yoshi said, feeling a pout form on his face. He was unaware of this though, and he stopped fiddling with his jacket. "Fantasy books are nice." He said, and went quiet. He watched as a kid ran by, and he stepped to the side. He was still a distance away from Blake though.
Ainsley furrowed his brows slightly at Yoshi's actions, but gave the kid that ran past a slight glare. "So the rumor is true," he mumbled. "It is true that you hate physical contact, right?" He didn't want to assume a rumor was true, as many of the ones about him weren't exactly truthful. Even so, that didn't mean his voice particularly gentle or caring at all. He couldn't care less, at this point, about Yoshi's past, but the rumor was quite an odd one, so he just wanted to know if it was true.
Yoshi crossed his arms to himself, in almost a defensive manner. He went back to where he was and shook his head. "No." He started. "I don't hate it..More like..you know what, it doesn't matter.." He said, not wanting to explain it. Everyone assumed he just hated it, but he actually feared it. Drastically. He didn't want to talk about himself, at all, so he tried to change the subject. "Why do you like fantasy books?" He asked him, faking a smile. Yoshi was embarrassed, not because of the rumor being brought up, but because he was that scared of physical contact.
Ainsley watched Yoshi silently for a moment and then looked away and bit into his muffin. After swallowing, he said, "I like them because you can escape to worlds where you can't travel. Although, if it were physically possible to travel to one world in particular, then I would be the first to by a ticket. And for me, that says a lot." He didn't elaborate further, but how blank his face was was enough to state that he wasn't going to because it made him uncomfortable.
Yoshi gave a soft sigh in relief as Blake didn't ask anymore questions about it. He nodded in agreement, and put his hands in his pockets. He felt uncomfortable now, but he tried not to let it show. "I see. I've always loved escaping into another world while reading a book." He responded, his voice quiet. He looked up from the grass, to look at the sky, but he was careful not to trip as he walked.
Ainsley glanced at Yoshi out of the corner of his eye but quickly looked ahead before the boy could catch him. "So, your name is Yoshi, right? I'm talking to some person I don't know? Right?" he asked, voice becoming a bit of a growl near the end of his interrogation.
Yoshi thought the two were cool now, hoping there would be no conflict and such, but he guessed he was wrong, or that he had said something bad. Yoshi wanted to shrink at his tone, "Right..It's Yoshi. Y-Yoshi Kanemoto." He said, looking forwards.
Ainsley nodded but turned away without daring to show any emotion. "Alright. Kanemoto... How to you Japanese do it? Um...-san? Is that it? Kanemoto-san? Geeze, it's too much to keep up with," he huffed, rolling his beautiful eyes. "Anyway, what's your family name? I've come to learn that every one has to be someone at Ouran. Even those who got here on scholarships have some sort of reputation. So? What's your family name?"
"Yes..it is -san." Yoshi said, and shrugged a bit. "I suppose so, but once you memorize them, it's quite simple actually." He said. "M-M-My family name..?" Yoshi asked, stuttering a lot, and his voice dripping with a mix of sadness and a little bit of anger. "I..don't really want to talk a-about it." He fixed his gaze to his feet, his expression the opposite of happy. "What about you?" He asked quickly, plastering another smile on his face.
Ainsley sighed softly when Yoshi somewhat panicked but again forced himself to not mention it or get angry. "Blake. That is my family name. My first name is none of your business," he told him, tone irritated due to him having to surpress all of his questions. "Anyway. Are we just gonna keep coming up with random questions, or are we gonna try and find a topic that sticks?" It was blatantly obvious that he was getting bored. His snappish nature was all because he finished his muffin.
"We can try to find a topic that sticks." Yoshi said. He thought about what to talk about unsure. They had already talked about hobbies, and it seemed that Blake didn't want to talk about himself personally, so he didn't ask about it. He sort of debated on just dismissing himself from their conversation and going home, possibly to cry, but he refused to make an enemy of anyone.
"Food," Ainsley suddenly stated forcefully. "We'll talk about food. I'm knowledgeable with food. We'll start there." There was no chance of an argument in his voice. He had already planned how their conversation would go. First, Yoshi would ask him what food he liked, and after sharing food tastes, he would lead the conversation into the different types of food he had experienced around the world. And then, as he was bragging about the travels that were forced on him, he would stop the conversation abruptly and not go into any detail about his homelife. After that, he would either declare that they needed a new topic, or he would simply tell Yoshi that he was bored and he would leave and never talk to Yoshi again. If Yoshi proved to be somewhat interesting, Ainsley told himself, he would rethink never talking to him again. Being interesting is what gave him his closest friend currently, Akane.
"O-Oh? Alright then." Yoshi responded, and couldn't help but laugh a little. He wasn't making fun of Blake, he was just surprised at him suddenly wanting a conversation about food. Just him saying that, even if it was forcefully, seemed to ease some of the tension Yoshi had. "Okay, what is the food you enjoy the most?" He asked. He had heard many rumors of him liking anything, and even once heard one about him being a cannibal, which was so untrue, yet it was funny to think about.
Ainsley frowned as if he were offended when Yoshi laughed, but he looked ahead of him so Yoshi couldn't really tell. Luckily the frown vanished at Yoshi's question, because he was proud that he had guessed the boy's question correctly. "I like any and all foods. Except, I don't really enjoy foods that are overly spiced."
((I'm sorry if this rp isn't going the way you wanted, I'm trying to make Yoshi a smol babe who hides his sadness. Or tries to.))
Yoshi nodded. "I don't enjoy foods like that either, I'm also not a very big fan of sweets." He said. "Some I can stand thought. He added. He didn't have a reason for it, he just despised the tasted of super sweet things, especially cake.

Ainsley gasped, again as if he were offended, but this time moreso. "How could you not like sweets?! Of all things not to like, you don't enjoy sweets?!" he raged, eyes wide with shock. "Wow, that's insane." He had not expected the boy to say such a thing, but he continued on the way he had planned in his head. "So what foods to you even like?"(It's going great lolol! Ainsley is just an asshole lolol!)
((Alright! Lolol))
Yoshi just shrugged. "I never really got the chance to enjoy many things when I was younger, and I suppose sweets wasn't one of them." He said. "I like any type of pasta, my aunt makes it every so often..um..and some other things." He added.
Yoshi just shrugged. "I never really got the chance to enjoy many things when I was younger, and I suppose sweets wasn't one of them." He said. "I like any type of pasta, my aunt makes it every so often..um..and some other things." He added.
"What other things?" Ainsley demanded. "Though, I do also love pasta. I have yet to eat ramen, and I've been here for a year." He shook his head and ran a hand through his spiky hair. As soon as he was close enough to a trashcan he threw out the muffin wrapper.
"Food from other cultures, oh, ramen is good, I recommend going to a restaurant in town, it makes good ramen." He said, feeling like he was being dull. He sighed softly, wondering why Blake enjoyed food as much as he did.
"I've tried food from many different countries," Ainsley informed. If the conversation didn't take an unexpected turn that interested him quite soon, he would likely stop talking to him. "German food, Italian food... But I really enjoy Chinese food the most."
Yoshi nodded. "I've never tried German food, is it good?" He asked. He didn't try to make Blake bored, he just wasn't very good at holding a long conversation with others. "And what is your opinion on the food here in this city?" He asked.
"German food is good, but a bit bland," Ainsley responded. Then he sighed softly. "I've been in Japan for a year, and yet I've only had fast food since I've moved. I can't say that I've had any real Japanese food yet." Simply from his tone, it was clear he wanted to end the conversation. Instead he tried something to get it going again. "Have you ever travelled?"(I kinda want Ainsley to say something that almost triggers Yoshi, and then Yoshi can avoid talking about it and Ainsley will get pissed.)
((I'd love that! It'd be very interesting to roleplay.))
"No. I've never traveled." Yoshi said. "Obviously you have. What has been your favorite place to travel to?" He asked him, wondering. He didn't want an answer solely based on the food of the place though.
"No. I've never traveled." Yoshi said. "Obviously you have. What has been your favorite place to travel to?" He asked him, wondering. He didn't want an answer solely based on the food of the place though.
"Many places. Italy, Germany, France, China, America, Canada, even Vietnam once, and Norway, and Switzerland... I never traveled with my family, but... Have you never traveled? With your family or otherwise? Surely you are at Ouran because of your family name, yes? Or are you here on a scholarship?"
Yoshi looked at him surprised at the amount of places he had been to. "No, I've never traveled anywhere. My family has always just stayed here." He said. "And yes, my parents were very wealthy." He replied, sighing.
Ainsley narrowed his eyes at Yoshi but decided not to pass up the chance. "What exactly do you mean by 'were'?" he asked, voice as hard as it had been the entire tome. His curiosity was obvious but not obnoxiously so. He had finally found an interesting twist that he wanted to learn more about, and he wasn't going to pass up the chance.
Yoshi breathed in shakily. He should've just dodged the earlier question. "I-I didn't mean anything about it." He said, not looking directly at Blake. His eyes were full of sadness, as he tried to avoid talking about it. His body language really showed that something was up.
Ainsley growled in frustration and stopped walking, turning toward the boy. Not caring that there were other people around, he snarled, "Why do you keep avoiding certain subjects?! How is anyone ever going to become good friends with you if you refuse to share a single thing about yourself?! You're boring! You're dull! And you'll never make any friends if continue to be that way! What are you hiding?!"
Yoshi stared at him with wide, tear filled eyes. He quickly brushed them away, and spoke finally. "I'm n-not hiding anything!" He said, his voice coming out shaky, and maybe even pathetic like. He could feel people's gazes on the two of them, which made him just want to leave. He knew he Blake was right, but he just couldn't bring himself to accept it. "I'm just not interesting. Okay?" He asked, refusing to share anything about himself.
Ainsley narrowed his eyes as if he were disgusted with the boy. "You're never going to make any friends. Never. You're dull, and you're uninteresting, and no one is ever going to want to be friends with you," he growled at him. Then he waited for a few seconds before shouting, "You're just gonna take me being a total asshole to you?! Do something! Hit me! Shove me! Yell back at me! No one likes a person with no fucking spine!"
((What if Yoshi tried to leave, and Blake grabbed his shoulder or arm to keep him from doing so?))
