He's now the official folders wizard :).
We've made some small changes to our folder organisation. We now have a dedicated 'buddy reads' folder, which is separate to our existing 'book chatter - non group reads' folder. Our author folders will continue to only include books that have been voted for and won in group polls. This means that some collections, such as Shakespeare and the Sherlock Holmes series of books will be split between folders, depending on whether they've been a group read, or a buddy read. Of course a buddy read might later win a group poll, in which case the thread will be closed for new comments and links will be provided for the new group read discussion. I hope this make sense to everyone. As a large and ever growing classics group, we are always increasing our numbers of posts and folders, so we try to do our best to streamline everything and keep the group as organised as possible.
We've noticed that there were a couple erroneous books shelved in the group bookshelf. An omnibus containing Notes from Underground was shelved instead of the individual book, and an adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was shelved rather than the actual book.
Both errors were the result of some bad book data that was fixed after the books were added to the group's bookshelves.
We've deleted the incorrect books and added the right ones. However, that's changed the "date added" field to today. So, if anyone sees a couple of books with group read dates in 2015 that weren't added until 2017, this is why.

The consolidation of Folders we came up with is as follows:
Old School Classics, Pre 1900
This folder contains most of the books selected over the years published prior to 1900.
New School Classics, 1900-1999
This folder contains most of our bookshelf books published from 1900 and beyond.
I have said most of our books are contained in the above two folders. In order to hold down over crowding we also created 15 folders for individual authors who have more than one book on our bookshelf.
Example:
Jane Austen Collection
Jules Vern Collection
Its important to remember that all of our books are still open for members to make comments and to read other members comments. You simply need to know the books title and was it published before or after 1900. Once the folder is determined the books are listed alphabetically. In the case of the "Authors Collections" you will need to know what author and book you are looking for. Only the books on our bookshelf written by the same author will be listed. If you are looking for John Steinbeck's East of Eden it will be there. If you are looking for Steinbeck's Red Pony it's not there, until the day comes that our group votes it onto our bookshelf.
We hope this does not cause any undue confusion. It was absolutely necessary that something be done immediately.
