Second Impact By David Klass. I'm introducing conflict. My author has used 2 conflict which are human vs self. The human vs self conflict is with a character named jerry a high school football player who had a accident by drunk driving he put several lives on the line. He always looks back at this and he tells himself he will change. But at a party he sees the freshman girl that was in the car with him. He tries not to think about it . He just trying to turn his life around. The other is the soccer star carly she has had a Acl injury in the knee. These can cause for more injuries to happen more often. Everyone pushes her to quit but she doesn't want. But she always tells herself that she will never score another goal. Analysis is important because it shows you some things you can't understand without the book would make no sense.
The book that I read was "Everything I Never Told You" by Celeste Ng. I'll be analyzing the characterization of this book. One of the techniques that the author had used for characterization is inner thoughts. Lydia sounds like she's starting to have suicidal thoughts. " Even if she were allowed, she thought, she could not run away." The author wants me to think about Lydia's personality and her character and how it could relate to her death.
Overall, I think how the author used characterization was one of the main reasons why I didn't like this book. Although it did help with the plot line, it wasn't interesting. The analysis matters because it gives the reader a preview of how the author is going to use their words to affect the reader and know if they will like this type of style of writing or not.
In the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, there is a conflict between Jonas and the society because he doesn't always agree with the government in which he lives under. One technique that my author used was almost foreshadowing, by showing Joans all the different family's, climates, seasons, and holidays. Then at the end he comes to a winter climate and sees a family during christmas. There was also a conflict within himself. He was scared of what was happening before he was given the position of the Giver. He kept seeing color, and felt like he was having more feelings then the others. He also found himself lying and being dishonest but not really caring. Jonas found that he was understanding more and more as his job as the Giver went on, he felt it was his responsibly to let everyone know about what it's really like to live.
The Trap by Steven Arntson, my author uses conflict to push forwards character development, to allow the reader to know more about a certain character; and even as a plot structure. One of the main ideas of conflict is very early in the book, on the first page actually, "He beat up Ernest last week.", introducing the fact that he'll have the possibility of being some sort of trouble later on in the story. As it progresses on it shows how conflict brought many characters closer together, or even how it picked someones life up at the end of another character's conflict. It can even take a kid's conflict and mold it into something much more superior than what it was before. There are many of ways this book will use conflict to drive a point across or to even further along or delay something but it shows that after all that conflict your life may be headed back on an upward spiral.
The author Jay Asher shows a lot of characterization in Thirteen Reasons Why through a thought process and some conflicts. The author has the book set up in Clay's point of view so we get his thoughts while he is listening to the tapes. The author has Clay as a very anxious person. One quote that shows this is "can they tell, based on my reactions, that it's not music I'm listening to?".
the title of my book is dead to you the authors name is Lisa Mcmann Lisa uses many forms of conflict in the beginning of the book by showing how overwhelming everything is and how he's fighting with is own mind how he has thoughts on how he should hate his abductor the author tries to give reasons on why Ethan cant hate her and the author tells the reader how he will have problems with letting go later on in the story and how it will affect his family.
Conflict is what drives a story and plot in a book, but the most intense conflicts, I believe, are usually internal, Elly Blake uses these conflicts to drive the book "Frostblood". And we know these conflicts are mostly internal because she shows what Ruby is thinking. "Burn him. I had to listen because the voice was me and I was the voice." You might not think that is a big conflict, but take this picture into consideration. Your main character has been trying to destroy this throne, has fought through so many hard ships, and while having to fight, she loses herself, a voice tells her to burn her enemy, and she listens. She went from hating to kill, to wanting everyone to burn. I believe this is meaning that Ruby, the main character, was starting to lose her sanity, and just with this one plot twist from Elly, we can see that this is what she was trying to show. Show us how if you are in a dire situation, you will do anything to survive. We can also see the conflict as internal because it is why Ruby was caught and sent to kill in the first place. She is a fireblood. And firebloods are hated in this world. When she arrives at the monastery where she stays, one person says, "She is a filthy fireblood, she can't stay here!" This causes Ruby to become self conscious and run away, and run into people and then have them report to guards, and the guards attacking the monastery. So Elly mainly advances the plot using internal conflicts, and by causing this butterfly effect, how if one thing happens, another thing will happen because of the very first thing. It is actually very intriguing if you stop to think about it for a little bit.
Why I FightIn the book "Why I Fight" the author, J. Adams Oaks, uses conflict to affect the main characters choices. From the first to the last page the main character, Wyatt, is conflicted with himself and the others around him. Wyatt, is always home alone and he burns down his house. His parents send him to go live with his uncle Spade. His uncle decides to make money off of him by making him fight
The book Rivals was written by Tim Green. The author uses theme to make the story a lot better and to show how the characters feel at that current time and setting. The author uses tone a lot and when he does it's always when the characters have a problem. " I Really Badly Need a Ride". This quote shows how the character is feeling and the way she says it. The author likes to use things that go along with Theme. Tone helps the reader picture how the characters are acting and how they are speaking it.

My book which I read was, "Voices from the March on Washington." I would give this book a 5-star rating because of its deep imagery back in history. When some people weren't treated equally, they were tortured, boycotted, forbidden from lots of places, their generation killed. All this led to this upstanding moment in history when a quarter million to a half-million people joined hands and stood up for their rights. Shook the world with their heart-warming poems and acts when they were violated. This moments shall forever be never erased from the book of history. Now referring about the book, I realised the author's point of view was third person, the conflict was between man vs man. This sentence will show us what kind of conflict they faced,"......before the freedom riders were beaten and jailed for their efforts to desegregate transportation in 1961......" This shows us what kind of pain and suffering they faced back then.
"I wasn't close to Rita but still worried a lot about her disappearance and her not showing up to practice today." I think this happened because of the new teacher Mr. Hathaway. He has been making some pretty creepy comments towards the girls in the senior class. He was a good looking man around early twenties. "On my way back to the school after running at practice, I felt as if someone was following me." In the book they haven't said exactly who was following her but there has been signs that show it was Mr. Hathaway. He made multiple comments to Keisha and the other girls. The girls in the senior class need to get together and tell another adult about this new teacher.
Im reading the book stalk me by julian dood. its about a girl in highschool who is popular but whats something, she doesn't want the same life anymore. Im choosing theme for my book. In my book keatyn likes two guys but doesn't know which one to pick. She likes cush, its states in the text "hes so fun to hangout with" but she starting thinking about brooklyn and started getting confused with her feelings. Cush treat her good and loves her for her. Brooklyn on the other hand doesn't like all of her, but brooklyn still likes her. So for keatyn its difficult time picking who she wants to be with.
In the book "Looking for Alaska," John Green uses a lot of characterization to tell the story. One of the examples of characterization that he uses is personality elements, in the story on page 45 Miles says, "I hated sports, and I hated people who played them, and I hated people who watched them, and I hated people who didn't hate people who watched them or played them." This quote is showing personality elements because this is an opinion of Miles. Another element of characterization that John Green uses in this story is emotional development, on page 68 Miles states, "I saw Alaska sitting alone, her back to a rain-streaked window." This shows emotional development because Alaska is a cheerful people person and in this example she is kind of closing herself off from her friends. John mainly expresses the three main characters, Alaska, Miles, and The Colonel's adventure at Culver Creek with characterization.
The title of my book is A Long Way From Chicago by Richard Peck and the book has alot of conflicts in to first 30 pages. Joey and Mary Alice Dowdel are sent to stay with their Grandma Dowdel for a week each summer. " We had to travel all this way down to our Grandma Dowdels before we ever set eyes on a lifeless corpse" That could mean that someone died in the family and they are going down to see it. The other thing is there could be a dead bodies on the road.
The Book im reading is called "Bleach" by Tite Kubo, things I have been analyzing the most in Bleach is character development and the main conflict with themselves. I noticed how Kuno introduces Ichigo one of the main characters. Ichigo was always a hard headed guy he doesn't like to listen to anyone and doesn't like to be told want to do or what not. In Volume 12 chapter 94 you start to see him just open up to his comrades because he know he's going to need them in order to save Rukia. Not only has he changed but he also has improved a lot in his power strengthAnother thing is Man v.s Society. Soul society the place where Rukia is from and the place where shes going to get exile has misinterpreted Rukia's intentions to protect a human from being killed. Ichigo has gained soul reaper powers from Rukia in order to protect the ones he loves the most. But two months past And Kubo the author finds a way how to make this intense and dramatic but in a good way.
Many characters had changed a lot and areu joining the 'save Rukia' side which is amazing and who knows how this would turn out.
The Mark Of A Thief is by Jennifer A. Neilsen is introducing conflict by using the main characters against themselves by them doing backfiring things. If they wouldnt do that the story would look like a love story not a action book. Thatd be the oldest love story. But with conflict it changes the scenery and drives the plot with new ways of finding problems and solutions. And in this novel it shows just that because there couldve been many different endings or outcomes, so with that we must thank authors for giving us a great book to read.
The tittle of my book is "Breathe, Annie, breathe" by Miranda Kenneally. The main character, Annie recently goes through a tragic heartbreak. She practices for a marathon to honor his memory. Her conflict is that as she practices more and more, she struggles with herself as people come into her life. The author uses relatable conflicts to the character. The author shows a particular argument between the main character and her friend. The argument was mainly about jealousy and rumors which happens in our normal lives. The author puts relatable traits to the plot.
My book is 13 Days of Midnight by Leo Hunt. The author mainly focuses on plot and characterization. He draws out the main character Luke by putting him through multiple external conflict. In the beginning of the book Luke's father died unexpectedly and he doesn't really seem to care that much. But he still continues to meet with his dad's solicitor to sort out his will. He does this without telling his mother which shows he very independent. He still does not tell his mother even when he's confronted of eight ghost The plot slowly formed together in a way that was both suspenseful and interesting.
