The lake is hidden deep in the woods and surrounded by tress.

Mathew looked out to the water as the light touched it and reflected the light to his face even though he was in the shade. He sat on a branch in one of the taller trees thinking about if he would run into anyone today or just have another peaceful day. He then climbed down after a good while and starts to see if he can find any fish in the lake that were near the shallow part. He spotted a few and then pulled out his fishing kit which was just a small hook, a worm, and a thin fish line. He then started to wait for his fish to get on the end of his hook so he can have something to eat.

Vee, having had nothing to feed from the past week, was in the woods to see if she could find a small animal or anything to subdue her thirst. She hated the burning feeling she would get in her throat. Of course with the system, she had accesses to feeders. But she couldn't bring herself to feed off them. Human blood? How could she. So now she was hunting, and her thirst was driving her crazy, making her a little anxious. With no luck, Vee reached the lake without a pray. Maybe she should just take a break. But just as she was about to relax, she spotted a figure near the water. Another guy? Vee didn't understand how there were men hidden in secret. Before she could step away, she stepped on a branch that crack under her foot, announcing her presence.

Mathew was just concentrated on feeling if there was anything nibbling on his bait or if anything was coming towards him to try and take him away. He usually liked to have this quiet moment before the storm but what came next was something he did not expect. He heard the crack of a stick and quickly looked over to the girl who was suspicious and he also saw that she had fangs which meant that he was in trouble and he decided to quickly get up and run away from his fish line with his backpack on his back so he wasn't running at his full speed. He knew he wasn't going to get far so he hid himself in the dense shrubbery.

Before Vee could say or do anything, the guy before her noticed her and quickly started to move. For a moment she was just frozen in place, not knowing what to do. But after he broke into a run, she quickly thought of how he was running so fast. A vampire?! How? There's something in these woods I don't know about. A hidden society. He probably knows. Quickly, Vee uses her speed to run after him. Since she didn't have anything on her, she was faster than him. But he hid from her view. Vee used her hearing sense and tried to hear where he was hiding. At the same time, she spoke, "Don't hide. I'm not going to expose you. I swear. I... I could help, if you need anything. I just need help too... please." Vee spoke out, turning in circles as she looked for him.

Matt kept as still as he could as he hid seeing her movements from the movement of the shrubs. He listened to what she had to say about how she wasn't going to turn him over and how she could help. She was starting to sound desperate and wanting to be a part of something. He knew it could just be that she wanted to get him out there so she can take him away to be killed or used as a breeder. He thought long and hard about his choice and finally decides to go and see what this girl wants and if she decided to take him he had a small but large enough stake to drive into her heart to get away from her. "Hey... um... I'm Matt." He says as he gets up to reveal himself.

Vee turned around when she heard movement and found the guy appear out of his hiding. She looked over him. She could hear his heart beat from running now that he was close. So he was human. How was it there were free men? "Im Vee," she tells him after he introduces himself, her voice low. She steps closer, her hands by her side. "I won't tell anyone about you... don't worry. But... how are you not caught?" She asked him.

((Oh okay then don't worry about. I understand.))

Matt just shurgs a bit and just didn't really know why he was still uncaught by the vampires that hated men. He just assumed that the Queen didn't know about the humans that were out there. "Well from what I can tell is that the Queen doesn't understand that there are a great number of us out there. And I have been out here for about a couple years on my own. Why do you want to know?" he said in his very low tone with very little emotion in his voice. He was confused why she didn't just want to get him and do what she wants. Humans and vampires were always wanting to take power over him.

"Years?" She said im disbelief. This whole time people were able to escape and live a somewhat normal life without the system. "Are their ladies? Where do you guys live?" Vee stepped closer again. "I always thought that there was no choice in life but to follow the rules provided by the queen. If I knew there were people hiding I would've have escaped. I never wanted to be this." She explained, her hand gesturing to herself.

He just shrugs to her question about others being out there in the woods in hiding. He really didn't know how many there were but he just helped some of them from time and time and they offered to take him with them but he never wanted to. "I really don't know where they live at really. I have seen some ladies and there was a choice it was just a hard one for most." He knew his choice was hard to make for sure since he had a good life in theory but going through it with no choice he just needed to break free. "I know why people don't fight though. It's because of fear that much more stronger people invoke to people like us." He moves back slowly from her not wanting to be there really, but he was talking more than usual.
