Ugh this book is stupid. I really needed to read a book, and a chick from my school was like "This book is sooo good!" and then like three of her friends came up and told me it was hood so I checked it out from the library and IT WAS THE STUPIDEST BOOK EVER!!!

You had to have known it was coming, Nikki. Without Harry Potter, I wouldn't be where I am today.

Oh, and to answer the question myself:

* Obsidian
* Ashes
* The Passage
* Kiss of Frost
* Twilight
* Eragon
* Daemon

Now, that I'm a little less offended about. Even if I did have an in-universe fictional movie adaptation of that one in my own book.

message 11: by Reann (new)

Reann Oh I loved Shiver! And Harry Potter!! But I hate Twilight and If I Stay by Gayle Forman or something.

I actually didn't mind that book as much as I thought I would. But I wish Applegrant would just write the sequel already...

interesting. I'd agree with Twilight but never read golden compass heard it was good though

message 20: by Ember Skye (new)

Ember Skye | 304 comments I just couldn't get into the Golden Compass. I read probably about three quarters of it, waiting for it to actually get interesting, but it just didn't.

message 21: by Michaela (new)

Michaela Osiecki (onth3cusp) Hmmm well anything by Stephanie Meyer tops my list. Twilight is a given, but even The Host is badly written and a blatant rip-off of Invasion of the Body-Snatchers.

Everyone Worth Knowing and The Devil Wears Prada kind of blow too. I mean, they are perfectly written based on the formula of that type of book, but I just can't stand them.

And I might get some flack from literary elitists but Pride and Prejudice. I adore Jane Austen, but that book just bored me to tears.

message 26: by Camille (new)

Camille Dent (thecamillion) The Invisible Girls... I admire Sarah Thebarge for fighting through cancer and helping out a family in need, but even a good story will make a terrible book when executed incorrectly. Well, this book was executed completely incorrectly. I would even give Twilight and the other books I read in 7th grade another chance before picking this book back up.

But then again, I lost most of my respect for the author when she compared her mastectomy to 9/11, so maybe I'm a little biased.

✨Selena Yukino✨ (selenayukino) | 13 comments I hate a lot of books. I usually hate 84% of the books I read. I'm not fucking kidding. But the last book that I hated so fucking much is Life After Theft by Aprilynne Pike. I wish I could burn it, but unfortunately I got the ebook. Goddammit. FUCK YOU BOOK. *RELEASES ZOMBIE-TIGERS AFTER CHARACTERS* That didn't really happen. I wish that really happened. Maybe then, I would have bumped up my rating to 1.2 stars. *shrug* I'm feeling generous, today.

Camille Dent (thecamillion) Reality Is Broken Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can Change the World by Jane McGonigal

This is literally just the author's resume in a lot of detail. A really poor decision for an "argumentative" book.
