I only read a few pages of the book I intended to because it was a crazy weekend but I did think of her while reading :)
Hi Stacey, sorry I didn't update over the weekend as I was away in Norfolk for the bank holiday, but I took my chosen book (Agatha Christie's "Crooked House") with me to read in quiet moments, and thoroughly enjoyed reading it, especially as it was in memory of someone who loved reading.
I'm so sorry I didn't follow through on my commitment to honor Kerry. My father passed away unexpectedly at the end of March and I lost my reading mojo. I'm slowly starting to read again and am catching up on the Goodreads news I missed out on when I saw this thread.
I read Seraphina by Rachel Hartman. This book was on Kerry's TBR list. I didn't have anything teal to wear but I kept a teal colored macaron toy thing in my pocket while reading. I read 201 pages of 359 during the read-a-thon, and I finished the rest of the book today.
Although I didn't end up liking this book I still enjoyed the reading experience. Seraphina has been sitting on my shelves for years and I feel accomplished to have finally read it.
This was my first read-a-thon and so thank you to Stacey for hosting and making me feel welcome :) Take care, everyone.
