Our book selection for May 2017 is the dystopian novel Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel.

We are meeting in person for brunch and discussion the last Sunday of the month. You can check out the event details and RSVP here:https://www.goodreads.com/event/show/...

I started reading the book this weekend and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm only about 40 pages in but so far the author has done a great job drawing me into the story.

I have about 100 pages left and I really like it. It's different than what I was expecting but not in a bad way. It's sort of "dystopian light" and I really like how it keeps coming back around to Arthur even if I don't find him so likeable.

Also is it crazy that I was sort of thinking that if there ever is a pandemic and I have to hunker down in my house at least I'd have plenty to read and in that way it would be enjoyable?

FYI. I have a reservation in my name. There's parking behind the restaurant on Church St. im hungry and the waffles or whatever smell delicious!
