*First Round Posted On May 4th!*

ROUND ONE has started! Here are the five tasks that need to be divided up between team members.

--1#Location
Africa
Read a book using one of the following options:
-Title starts with one of the letters in Africa (articles [a, an, the] do NOT count)
-Part of the story takes place somewhere in Africa (i.e. Egypt, Libya, South Africa, etc.)
-Cover has a majority color of green or white
-Author's First or Last Name initial starts with one of the letters in Algeria.

--2#Transportation
-Boat/Ship*
*must be found on book cover

--3#Souvenir Item
-T-Shirt*
*can be found in book's text or on cover

--4#Nourishment
-Dessert (cake, cupcake, pie, etc.)*
*must be found on book cover

--5#Sleeping accommodations
-Some type of building, house, tent, cave, etc.*
*must be found on book cover

Round One ends 5/17/17, reviews for books need to be posted in their team's review thread by then.

Should "Algeria" be "Africa" in the last option under "Location"?

No problem. :) some rounds have it to where you spell out the continent and others have it to where the spell out is a country in the continent. :)

Ok found it.. now checking if my ok author has to be associated with an african book setting? Or just having the letter "L" is enough to count? Maureen Lang

Would this one work for house? The chimney is for the guesthouse. If it doesn't, I've got another I can use. It's just this is one I'm currently reading.

Yes, that definitely works!

What if there's a tie at the end? How will the winner be decided in that case?

If there's a tie after the last round, then the winner will be decided by which team finished that final round first.

Are these rice plants or wheat? I have to do the one with grain/legumes so would this work?

Melanie- I am reading With You Always by Jody Hedlund for task #3. Since it is a file delivered through a netgalley widget, I can't pinpoint a page #, only a location #. Will that be okay?

First one is perfect for sleeping accommodations. :) Tracy is doing location, so I'm not sure if the second book would work anywhere else...does it have the word "mug" in the text??
