Everyman | 7718 comments I'm in a bit of a quandary how to schedule the reading. Let's try the following, but if people find that this is going too fast to allow for quality discussion, I'm perfectly open to modifying the schedule. But at least for starters:

All editions of the text I've looked at have paragraph numbers, in three books. I hope all editions are uniform in this and that everybody has these paragraph numbers, but if yours for some reason doesn’t both the Perseus and Gutenberg site copies have them for you to compare your text to.

The divisions are:
Book 1 - paragraphs 1-161
Book 2 - paragraphs 1-89
Book 3 - paragraphs 1-121

Here’s the proposed reading schedule:

May 10-16: Book 1, paragraphs 1-92
May 17-23: Book 1, paragraphs 92-161
May 24-30: Book 2, all
May 31-June 6: Book 3, paragraphs 1-64
June 7-13: Book 3, paragraphs 65-121

Everyman | 7718 comments Very glad it's helpful. We do try to structure our discussions to allow the greatest opportunity for quality discussion. Our purpose isn't simply to read lots of books, but to join together to understand in shared experience and slow reading the depths and richness of these wonderful texts.
