CHALLENGE MAKEOVER
- The Crazy Colour Challenge has had a makeover and been given a new thread.
This year long challenge requires you to match the covers of your books to the listed colours and build your pack of crayons. Levels range from an 8 pack of crayons to a massive 64 pack! Join us for the crazy colour fun!
If you are currently playing the original version of this challenge, please copy and paste your post to the new thread. You DO NOT have to start over, all previous progress still counts!

- Don't Get Fined! A Library Adventure
Your library book is due back today but it’s early closing at the library and it’s right on the other side of town!
Move around the town by rolling the dice and completing the reading tasks for each space you land on – but beware, along the way there will be distractions from your mission. Get your book back to the library on time and don’t get fined!
Duration: Open Ended

This open ended challenge is a spell out with a difference. Instead of using book titles or authors initials to spell out the colours of the rainbow, we will be using the first letter of the colour of your book covers.

NEW CHALLENGE
Eye of The Beholder Challenge
This new ongoing challenge has been created by TLC member Jennifer.
The basic idea is this: You choose five book covers of books you want to read, chosen for this challenge because you like their covers. Is the cover beautiful? Interesting? Intriguing? Loaded down with your favorite color? Cleverly done? Elegant? Striking? Whatever your reason, choose for this challenge based on the cover's VISUAL APPEAL to you.
After you've chosen, you post next in line in the thread. First, you pick ONE book from the five posted in the last post before yours. You're choosing the previous poster's next read based on which cover appeals to you most. Then you post your five choices, covers only. The next person to post picks for you. The one after that picks for them, and so on. When you're ready, you come back and post your next five, and pick for the person before you.

- The Literature Map Chain Challenge has had a makeover and been given a new thread.
Pick one of your favourite authors and read one of their books to start your chain. Next, enter the author into The Literature Map. This will bring up a list of similar authors. The closer to the centre of the "map" they are, the closer their style will be to your original author. Choose an author from the map, then read a book by that author. To make the next link revisit the map, enter your second author, choose an author close to them and read one of their books. Continue the chain in this way until you reach your goal.

REVAMPED CHALLENGE
- Best Picture of the Year 2012
The original 'Best Motion Picture of the Year' challenge covered 4 years and was open ended. I've split the challenge into separate 6 month challenges, each focusing on just one year, which will be posted at regular intervals. Each challenge is based on the 9 films nominated for 'Best Picture' at the Academy Awards for that year. Choose your level from one task per film to all three tasks per film.
