The group seems to be dying off a bit, mostly because of school and life getting in the way, so I was considering taking a contest break for May, but instead I decided we'll just have the theme

WHATEVER YOU WANT

description
(that may or may not be a gif from my current favorite TV series, The 100)

Starts: Whenever
Ends: May 31st, 2017

***No poem entry limit for this contest***

Have fun guys!

Reappearing mirages
asking me "How are you?"

Nothing, is my answer.
didn't hear the question.

Owning a star
might be harder than I thought

Hello, a new member here! Please be kind :D Looking forward to reading your entries!

Ahana~ (kingahana) | 2 comments Do you remember?

Do you remember?

Do you remember the day when we saw the sunset together?
Holding hands as if there were no barriers.
Do you remember that day when you told me your dreams?
And transferred me into a magical realm.
I remember,
I remember them.
I remember those breezy nights when you used to call me,
I remember the rainy afternoons you used to come, soaked wet.

Do you recall the summer of eternal joy?
Do you recall the tsunami of tears?
I sometimes recall them,
And smile at myself,
Remembering those days of everlasting happiness.

Do you remember the songs we wrote for each other?
Do you have those photos we took?
I still have them in a small drawer of my heart,
Tucked in with care .

I know you don't remember me,
I am not a vivid picture of your dreams,
I am not your source of sustenance,
But still, I am alive,
With the pictures, with the dreams,
With me, myself and the memories.

Josefine Fuck you

Fuck you to the religious who doubt evolution
Fuck you to the scientist who think they have conclusion
Fuck you to the gays for waving their banner
Fuck you to the straights for all that manner

Ten fucks to the handicapped in our land
Fifteen fucks to the healthy for being able to stand

Fuck the libidinous and the prudes
Fuck those who won't send nudes
Fuck the brownies
Fuck the racists

Fuck you
Fack yook
Face Book

The language of a social network
Is getting worse
And if you've been attacked
Or been made worry
Then I can only say
I am so fucking sorry

I kind of feel offended too, and I would have her take it down but I think that might've been some point she was making but idk, like something about society and how it treats everyone

Story

You asked about the story of life,
for me to open your eyes
to something I don't know
anyone truly understands.
I could tell you terrible, terrible tales about humanity.
I could tell you of dust and ashes,
wrinkled faces and dirt-lined hands.
I could tell you about the end.
That's where most people start.
I could tell you about the beginning where we flamed to life
and began to fall.
I could tell you about the weeds that flourish in fields
while children starve and die for lack of grain.
I could tell you of war.

I could regale you with long books praising
heroes who lived and died for the sake of others;
those whose lives were never quite enough to balance the equation
for the family left behind.
I could tell you of cruelty.
I could take you to a playground and show you four year olds
already learning what it is
to take pleasure in pain.
I could tell you about loneliness,
about buses that are never full
clattering around in senseless circuits
until one day
they grind to a halt
and are thrown away.

I could tell you of destruction.
I could show you fire and ice and steel.
I could collect cupfuls of tears for you,
Pour them against your lips and say,
This is what hopelessness tastes like.
I could show you the irreverent paradox in tears of joy.

I could show you the battle against nature.
I could take you to Sudan and let you
breathe in the drought.
I could take you to the Amazon and let you smell
death rising on the air to a chorus of chainsaws.
I could teach you about oxygen, about water;
the only pure substance on this filthy planet.
I could teach you about insignificance,
and measure your face against the beauty of the stars
that outweigh us every time.

These are all the ways I could explain it.
I'm not going to.
All I'll do is sit you down
and hand you my newborn child.
I will say,
we live in a world of undeserved miracles-
somehow,
there's always a second chance.

Yeah, I just took a little break from gr on accident and forgot I'd need to end this contest, so June's will be starting tomorrow :)
